Friendly staff and ok location. Mini-market on ground floor.

Small and cold room. No possibility to darken the room adequately. The floodlights on the square flooded our room the whole night. We had to ask several times for a portable heating unit. Not enough power sockets. No locker. Outdated decoration with awful painting. No warning about the scheduled noisy festivities on the square. The promised early breakfast was too late which caused stress at checkout. Staff had to divide their attention between hotel, mini-market and sauna.

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. Hotel is near cable car station. Staff was bery helpful and friendly. They helped me with every request I had.

Internet worked only in the restaurant on the 2nd floor. No sound proof. Most ridiculous design/lay out of the rooms. Some rooms have no windows, I asked for another room with window. The door to the corridor is made of glass. So if ppl across the corridor decide not to turn off the light'-you have to sleep with the light in your eyes.

What I liked about the hotel is that is right in front of the path of the Carnival. So you have everything from there, the beautiful view to see the carnival, the seats to see the carnival, the access to go to your room to use the bathroom or use their public bathroom on the first floor, you can buy minor things on the little store on the 1st floor and on the last floor there is a fast food restaurant. The owner has thought of everything to make sure their guest are well taken care off.

The cost, apparently the hotel has packages for the Carnival in the months of February or March that were not advertised on Booking.com. The prices included an extra day (Friday thru Monday), the seats for the carnival, lunch and snacks for the carnival show. The entire city of Oruro quadruple their prices during carnival and hotels only charge in Dollars not in Bolivians and a package would have been nice to have know on Booking.com.
