The location of Waterside West was PERFECTLY nestled between the lagoon and the Gulf of Mexico. Only one block from the beautiful beach and just steps from the lagoon. Within walking distance to the beach, to the market, or to a nearby restaurant for a quiet relaxing stay. Jellyfish getting in the way of your beach experience? No worries!!! This property has a gorgeous saline pool. We pretty much lived in it all week. The house was spacious, well-stocked, and everything else that it said it would be. We will be back next year. Thank you!

We loved it and it was perfect for us! We didn’t realize it was a duplex until we arrived but our neighbors were very kind and polite as well. The pool was small but worked well, and the location was perfect. Any issue we had was resolved quickly. We will stay again!!

The listing description do not say it was a duplex so we were shocked when we arrived. We knew the pool was shared, however, it is so small that only one side of the duplex could use it at a time. For the price we paid, the deck, grilling, and pool areas are subpar. In addition, the listing said 3 covered parking areas. There are only 2. The location, house, wharf, and under house areas are very nice. I guess it’s a work in progress.

Our group of 11, (11 years and up) enjoyed our stay on the West side of this property. It was a prime location to the beach, which I noticed not all properties in this area are privy to. House was well stocked. Pool area was clean. Dock area was beautiful! Check in and check out were super easy. Lots of memories made. Thanks!!

I am a first time Vrbo renter and could not be more pleased with the experience. Lagoon was peaceful, pool perfect size and distance to the beach a short walk. I had my whole family on this vacation and it was beyond words! We had enough room indoors and out, loved that we could grill, loved the dining tables inside and out were large enough for us all to gather.

We had a wonderful week in Gulf Shores! The house is very nice and 11 of us stayed very comfortable. We loved the pool and used it everyday. The weather cooperated and we left 2 snow storms and -15 temps behind. I would recommend this property for sure! Just realize that this is the west unit and there is an east unit and you do share the pool and parking and dock.

The house was set up wonderfully! The dock is amazing and has much wildlife or great place to hangout. The pool and outside area was great to hangout with everyone and everyone had a place to relax. Room sizes were great and spacious. Large open concept living room and kitchen area. We host our reception here for 25 people and we had plenty of space to move around!

We had an absolutely amazing time during our stay! The house was perfect for our group. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen has everything you need and more, the beds were comfortable, the common area has tons of seating so no-one feels left out and there were plenty of outdoor spaces for everyone to relax. The location could not have been better. With our own pool and pier and a VERY short walk to the beach, we barely left the area. The owners were very personable and made sure we had everything we needed. I don't usually write reviews, but this one deserves 5 stars. Will be re-booking this property if we decide to visit the area again!

Fantastic weekend stay with group of friends and family in town for the triathlon. We rented both East and East houses. Perfect location. Loved fishing and crabbing in the lagoon. Kids enjoyed the pool time. Very spacious indoors, and common areas outside on the joining decks and under the house for cooking and cocktails. My only suggestion is bring a fan for sitting outside on decks this time of year! Kitchen was very well stocked, as was the storage area for pool toys. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return next year!

We had the best time ever location was amazing, the dock and pool were exactly what our family needed!! Plenty of room, the house had everything you could ask for!! Can't wait to come back...the owners were super nice and communication was great!

The property was spacious and conveniently located. A few issues we experienced were: Instead of repairing the leak under the garbage disposal before we arrived, we were told not to use the disposal upon arrival because there was a leak. No offer to repair it at all. There were loose boards(with nails sticking out) on the back deck that would spring up when you stepped, creating a safety hazard. The threshold from inside the property into the stairs to go out had a high lip that caused everyone to practically trip forward down the stairs- dangerous! My feeling is that, while this property was very nice, it could use a little TLC.

Location of this property was absolutely perfect! It was out of the mix of all the commotion, but only minutes away if you wanted to venture out. House came with pretty much everything you need to make your vacation complete. All in all, the place was perfect for a large family vacation, we would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Beach was beautiful and not crowded. Pool and dock was wonderful. Kitchen was more than stocked with everything you would need. Almost too stocked. There was no place to put groceries except for the counter top, but we managed just fine.

My large family and I enjoyed our stay. Enough beds for everyone and very comfortable. Across the street from the beach and a wonderful dock behind the house. So nice!

Great location . Plenty of space to all eat together . Plenty of beds. Loved easy beach walk . Great being able to fish off the bay. Fun times in the pool.Sand for the little ones to play in yard. Everyone had a great time.

Property was clean, kitchen well stocked, beds soft but comfy, and location was great. It’s only a short one block walk to the beach and the dock out to the bay side was great too. This home was perfect for our family gathering.

Beautiful place to stay for families or a girls getaway. Had everything we needed and the owner was quick to respond with any questions. Beds were comfortable. The lagoon side had beautiful views for relaxing mornings or a glass of wine at night. Quick walk to the beach and the wagons made it easy to bring chairs for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Our family of 8 adults and 5 kids had plenty of room indoors and outdoors to enjoy. Kid favorites: the sand play area under the upper deck, the lagoon dock, the pool, the bunk room (perfect hang-out for cousins). Everyone enjoyed the spacious rooms, plenty of seating at the large dining table, large kitchen, WiFi, Roku, short walk to the beach, outdoor shower to rinse off sand, and lots of deck seating with tables. We found great area attractions and parks. Craig was a great host, and we are already talking about a return trip!

The home location on W Lagoon is great with a short walk to beach, far enough off the main road (SR 182) that you don't hear road noise. The Family enjoyed the pier and we had my bay boat to fish in the lagoon. The home is well furnished and we enjoyed our stay. Lisa was great to work with and we recommend this home to others looking for a relaxing family vacation.

We really enjoyed our vacation at this lovely home. You can tell that the owners have really tried to go the extra mile to insure their renters feel at home. Plenty of towels, kitchen very large, bathrooms convenient. The pool was clean and inviting. Husbands loved the fishing. The only thing I didn't like were the brown sofas and chairs by pool were broken. But I own a lakehouse. I wouldn't bother replacing anything till next season. Since its a rental and winter is coming, this could be easily remedied. Otherwise, Loved it.

This house is GREAT!-the furnishings, location, etc. The only thing that is sub par is cleaning. There was visible food/dirt on several surfaces, door facings, etc. Dust bunnies that would take several weeks to develop. Location and house are perfect

Nice open floor plan and very nice bedrooms. The waterway behind the house was lovely. The sunsets from the private dock and upstairs balcony were beautiful. The beach was a very short walk to a private entrance. Everything we wanted to do was a short drive. The owner and in keeper were very responsive and helpful.

This property has a nice pool. Other than that is is misrepresented. Owner is very difficult. The furniture is not what is pictured. It's all very cheap and broken down. Dishwasher sounded like a freight train. Railing on deck is broken in several places.no cushions on patio furniture. No fishing gear and no kayaks. Air broke down on us 5 times over 3 day period causing us to lose 3 days vacation. We had to be there for air people that came 5 times in 3 days.they had to access attic in bunk room to work on it and got insulation all over bedding and clothes. We spent 3 whole days dealing with this. Owner refused any type of refund. He did offer $100 for 13 people to go to seafood restaurant which would cost at least $500. I did not accept so he offered $1000 off of next year but raised his price for next year almost that much. Also why would I stay again with all the thing he misrepresented. We have stayed in property half the price that was much nicer.

House was nice but some of the pictures are not accurate. Living room furniture different and not at all comfortable. Bunk beds replaced with 4 twin bed bunks, still sleeps the same number. The bunk beds were raw 2x4 and had the potential for children getting splinters climbing up and down. Pool was small for a shared space on a property that sleeps that many. Pool water became very cloudy - reached out to Lisa on Wednesday morning she stated that she would send the pool man but as of leaving on Saturday pool man never came. Water was very murky by Saturday. Overall house needs to some TLC - broken tiles, water damaged dining table, and the pool area could use some attention. House is in a good location - easy walk to the beach, dock was nice, walking distance to restaurant and ice cream shop. In unit laundry was great. Kitchen had all the items you needed to cook. Never ran out of hot water even with 12 people showering. Good soundproofing between units - never heard the neighbors. Overall good stay.

The property was awesome. The location was perfect between the beach and the bay. There isn’t full over full bunks anymore and the sectional has been switched out for 2 sofas but we made it work. Definitely would stay again.

We were a little bit nervous about this property- the location, the shared pool, whether we would have enough bathroom and fridge space for our group and everything worked out just great! We love Gulf Shores and we would stay in this property/rent from this group again without hesitation.

Twelve of us ranging from infant to grandparents for a whole week. Great access to the beach and the onsite pool was used everyday. Great place to stay.

Our family enjoyed staying here. It is a beautiful and spacious home. I would recommend it if you like to fish.

Enjoyed our time in Gulf Shores. Property was easy to find and is a great location. House was being repaired externally from the storm but never really got in our way. There were tons of beach toys and the public beach area was a short three minute walk from the front door. This is a duplex or split house though most of the properties are. Not a big deal but just wasn’t as clear on the listing. We have older kids that can be noisy so added some angst that we’d prefer to avoid. All in all great property and beautiful location.
