Amazing view, perfect location on a beautiful quiet beach. perfect getaway.

Nice private beach, rooms close to the water and cleaned well but incredibly hot with tan that didn’t do much. Lots of seats and hammocks in communal areas. Had a couple of good meals.

Felt captive, impossible to get anywhere without a vehicle - down a 3km dirt path that my taxi struggled with. Wasn’t given any info about kayaks, taxis or anything actually. Almost no communication from overworked staff. There simply were not enough staff. They never offered menus for meals or drinks, apart from one, none spoke any English at all and the same staff doing restaurant and drinks were also reception. Food options limited and expensive, there was no where else to go. 2 options of starter and main offered for dinner each night, one sitting at 8pm only, and not served till 8.45. Some food was ok, but some was very not good, had to send back main course on second night. Booked a taxi through the hotel, the driver picked up his wife and 2 children from his house on the way to my destination. They joined us as passengers in the car, and I was charged a much too high rate for the journey (he demanded 1000 when I’ve been told the journey is normally 700). Even though booked on Booking.com payment was at hotel at the end. They tried to charge me 3 nights when I only stayed 2, then they tried to charge me agreed rate from Booking + taxes, when it clearly stated on Booking that rate was inclusive on taxes.

This family run property is in a superb location on a beautiful, secluded bay with a lovely beach that is safe and easy for swimmers and snorkelers. The owners and their staff are always friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfasts - especially the abundance of fresh fruit - are a delicious way to start the day. The reasonably priced dinners typically include choices of at least two appetizers and two entrees, one of which is sure to be freshly caught fish beautifully prepared by the chef. The beds are comfortable and all the sheets, pillowcases, bedspreads and towels were clean and high quality. The ambience is peaceful, laid back and get-away-from-it-all, to the extent that even the threat of coronavirus and crashing markets seemed to be a world away. All in all, an absolutely delightful place!

What's not to like about Bahia de la Luna? It's not a pristine, modern, all amenities resort, nor is it meant to be. However, just a couple of small tweaks in the kitchen area of Saturno 1&2 would help, specifically, more and/or improved utensils and pots and pans. That's it!
