Great place, very central with amazing street food at night. We love Charlie house, just like an oasis in the middle of Bangkok. Will be back for sure.

Gorgeous garden area, staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a nice way to escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and get some peace and quiet.

Nothing that they can do about it so I don’t really like to complain but the location is really hard to find, it’s down a very narrow lane off the main road, our taxi drive round in circles for ages trying to find it… More signs on the main road would be beneficial.

We stayed in this hotel 14days and there was nothing that I could complain about. Staf was friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a magic oasi in the middle of Bangkok. Cleaning was flawless and we felt so good that we will stay there again 100%

We took a suite and we were very happy with it. Spacious, lot of facilities, great bedding and air conditioning. The ambiance of the area was great - very natural vibe to it with trees, fishes, bees, and all.

The location is a little far off from the central areas like pratunam and sukhumvit. There are a few malls and stores in Pinklao itself, though

Like I mentioned before already, 2 sunbeds at the small pool are too little.

" LIKES" :(1) STAFF : as friendly,welcoming,hard working,informative (generally),warm,courteous and polite as is possible. THEY are who make your stay pleasant/memorable. (2) The ROOMS : spacious ,cleaned daily, well lit and ALL appliances work well ! (3) POOL : great sized ,cleaned/maintained daily,well shaded . (4): GARDEN surrounds : 'picturesque' ,well maintained , fish pond to stare at ! All adding to to your stay. (5) FACILITIES/adjacent 'quiet' spots : within the complex : outstanding ! (6) : LOCATION : 400 meters down an alley: well away from a 6 lane 'artery' :to/from center of Bangkok/'Chinatown' . TWO huge 'supermarkets' : ( within 450 meters) : food stalls/grocery chain/money exchange/banks/ATM's : outstanding !

"DISLIKES" : (1) : I needed to extend my stay : 2 nights. The owner's 'policy' ( NOT the staff's) : is that despite my NOT using /going through/ booking :with "Booking.com" : still charged ME the 'commission' which all providers of accommodation need pay "Booking.com " (That I understand ! ) . But WHY should the fee ,for those 2 nights : INCLUDE his commission : he's not paying it ! In TEN years of travelling in South East Asia : HE is the first owner to enforce this 'policy' : ALL others I have encountered : do not ! A BIG negative !(2) : Barking/yapping dogs : totally OUT of the hard working staff's control . Brutal/annoying : a BIG negative to my stay. (3) : 'Value for money' : OVERPRICED in my opinion: only ! (4) : ALL staff's hard work : suspect (only) : not financially appreciated : enough ! ( see item (1) : would welcome the owners reply / explanation to that : if that is possible in 'responses' to all reviews). All four "DISLIKES" : mean I would not stay there again . ONLY one is unavoidable : yapping/barking neighbours dogs !

The property has a resort feel to it. There is a small pool which is cleaned every morning. The garden area is also nice. The staff I encountered were helpful and hard working.

Inconvenient location. The property itself is 240 meters away from the main road. Cabs don't go up till the gate. Would not recommend this place to first time visitors to Bangkok. It is only connected to the Blue Line MRT. There is a bus stop nearby. But the location is pretty far away from all the tourist spots. Central Plaza mall is a ten minute walk away. The neighborhood is not catered to tourists. Things get dark by 7.30 pm - 8 pm. Overall I would urge anyone to carefully check the distance from the places they want to visit. Pick this place if you want to stay at the property and not go anywhere else. What you save on the hotel, you end up spending on food and travel.

The place has beautiful garden, generous sized room, very quite and peaceful.

The bathroom is very clean but smells funny like sewage.

I could only stay 1 night! But I will return one day.... Bed a little bit too hard for me.

Just what we needed! A peaceful and relaxing stay set in beautifully kept gardens with the soothing sound of water features. Staff were absolutely lovely and took good care of us. The pool was lovely to have for cooling off. The room was spacious and very clean. The location was great for us, just a five minute stroll to a bus stop that got us into the city centre in five minutes for 20 baht. A metro station is also nearby, 10-15 minutes walk away.

We have stayed here before and liked so much we stayed again. It did not disappoint. We upgraded to a larger room with better facilities - well worth paying for. Whole hotel and grounds are kept clean and tidy. One of the largest and most comfortable beds we have slept on in 5 weeks of travels. It's a fair way out of the city but only a few minutes using one of the very inexpensive local buses (Nos 511 and 516 direct to the centre. No 40 to the shopping centres in Siam.) Pool is well maintained.

It would have been good to have been able to have breakfast there.

Very nice hotel, definitely recommended. Stayed in suite room 206 and 306 for 21 days. 206 is recommended. Very attentive staff. A too loud refrigerator was changed in a short time. Very quiet hotel in a very noisy city. Nice little pool for toddlers too. Unfortunately without breakfast Shopping center 15 minutes away

Hotel can only be reached via a 240 meter long narrow road. You will be picked up with the golf cart. Unfortunately, I had to pay 700 bath for a late checkout, even though I lived there for 21 days The hotel is unfortunately a bit far away from the tourist highlights. But there for it is very quiet hotel

Suite room is really big and good design.

Air-condition is quite old , can not controll cooling. It made the weather room is hot that I was a bit upset. And after 23:00 the hotel gate will be closed, it does not make sense when clients choose 1 hotel to get travel but can not stay longer outside and come back before 23:00
