A beautiful old building which has been tastefully furnished. Dinner and Breakfast were to an extremely high standard. Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely old building sympathetically modernised. Excellent position overlooking the village green. Excellent girls doing the waiting on tables at dinner.

We had a number of bags, but the man who met us was resolute in not offering to assist despite a couple of hints. The room was good but spoiled by rubber pillows and a bathroom that was miniscule and ill thought out. No grab handle in the tiny shower. Not enough shelving to put toiletries on. Half used pump action pots situated on the floor of the shower - useless once you have wedged your way in. Part of the bedroom moulding was pulling away. Hake for dinner was overcooked. Breakfast was awful. It had to be pre-ordered the night before, which is a sign of an idle or non-existent chef. True to form the bacon had been cooked hours beforehand. The waitress was mopping the floor when we entered the breakfast room. She kindly put her mop down to serve us!

Towel rail was very hot, needs attention. Shower door would not shut completely therefore a risk to the decor.

Comfortable room with huge double bath (and excellent shower); spacious restaurant with superb chef and cheerful waiting staff.

Having to dodge the beam in the bedroom. Nowhere to hang anything up in the bathroom ( but there was plentiful shelf space).

A picturesque setting on the corner of the village green. I wasn't able to make use of it, but the beer garden looked really nice and well thought out. The decor and feel of the place has obviously been carefully considered and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. Food for both dinner and breakfast was of a high standard.

Rooms aren't very sound proof as you hear all the activity from the corridors as if the people are in your room. Not a deterrent for a future stay but just something to consider if you are a light sleeper.

The porridge was excellent as was the fruit compote. So nice not to have some instant concoction that is over sweet. It was just right snd the coffee was superb . The dinner was good too
