The staff were lovely, the bar and restaurant excellent, and it was really dog friendly. The room was warm. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast

The mattresses in room 51 were horrible and need replaced urgently. The advert shows a shower cubicle but it was an over bath shower which is not so handy for those with reduced mobility

The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. Delicious and a good value.

There was no one at the desk when we arrived and 3 other people were waiting for 10 minutes. I had to go to the bar to ask for help. The walls were very thin — we could hear guests talking and barking dogs inside the hotel. We had 2 single beds but they were much smaller than a normal single.

Medewerkers waren erg vriendelijk! Ontbijt was eenvoudig, je kon zelf toast met wat jam pakken, maar er was ook een klein menu waaruit je een keuze kon maken tussen verschillende ontbijtgerechten. Pancakes met bessen of spek, Scottisch breakfast, Avocado smash. Verder kon je zelf thee, koffie, water of sap pakken. Dichtbij Edinburgh, gratis ruime parkeerplaatsen. Badjassen op de kamer. Nette kamers.

Er waren geen extra kussens beschikbaar. Dat was jammer, maar verder niks te klagen.

It was decorated all grey which is the modern style, but not to my taste. Not very welcoming although neat. Would benefit from some warmer tones in the rooms

The annex room 65 was very good but I don’t like climbing into a bath for a shower prefer a walk in shower

the beds were terrible. no matter how we tried to sleep the mattress was so soft and ended up sleeping on the floor We brought our little Pomeranian dog, it stayed in the dog travel kennel most of the time and only spent one night in the room. got charged £60 for the dog. Disgrace

It's confusing about rooms cleaning services. First days I didn't so a sing, which I need to put outside on the door to clean the room. The rooms suppose to clean every day, no matter what.

Fantastic food in restaurant . Room was nice and clean . Nice view from bedroom .

Mattress was brand new , but didn’t have mattress cover so you felt the buttons in the mattress very soft and uncomfortable . Tv wasn’t tuned in . so no television .

Evening meal was lovely, food hot , service excellent. Cocktails were really good. Staff very attentive in all areas.

The breakfast was really good albeit a little slow coming out - the first morning many things were forgotten. Toast then the butter. It took over an hour and half before we got everything.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal and the breakfast pancakes were delicious.

No mattress cover on the bed . The window wouldn’t close properly so we experienced a lot of road noise

All was as expected and great value for money. A couple of nights I heard neighbours, but that's to be expected everywhere.

All members of general staff very professional and friendly. All our needs well met. Only booked 24hrs notice and lovely room with a view as requested given to us. Delicious food in restaurant. Service from Lily and Lauren especially friendly and professional. Hotel was expecting a very busy day but both cheerful and smiling. Thank you all we will return asap.

Our room had recently been refurbished and still had a few "snagging" issues which we reported. Booking.com had failed to notify hotel that we'd arranged breakfasts.

Everybody was very friendly ,lovely ,comfy room, our breakfast was exceptional ,fantastic service ,nothing was to much trouble for the young gentleman that looked after us .
