Warm friendly welcome.

Dinner menu not too my personal taste, but the lovely head of hospitality and chef made a plan to cater for me and related allergies. Hugely appreciated. A lamp (wall light) and shelf for charging phone, beside the sofa bed and sockets would enhance the additional guest comfort. The table and chairs from adjoining cabin obstructed the view from the sofa in my cabin. Both green dining chairs were stained beyond redemption.

Nice quiet inn in lovely location. Staff were friendly enough and the bar/restaurant area had a variety of seating areas which was great to relax. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was made using quality local produce.

The room and bathroom had a few scuffs and generally could do with some TLC. The room was described as offering free toiletries but the reality did not meet expectation, and luckily we had brought our own. The room had some impracticalities such as no plug socket near a mirror to use the hairdryer, and the small tv was so far away from the bed that we had to watch using our glasses. Breakfast was £15pp per day which we felt was quite alot. The size was also too much for us and so we only had it for one day.

We thought the room was a little sparse, comfortable enough but it didn't really tell a story of the beauty of the local area. The food on the evening was a little expensive for the quality.

We were disturbed during the night by what we assumed was a fellow guest, who had tried to get into our room by mistake, which we couldn't tell anyone about until the next morning as there was no phone in the room and we hadn't been given any number we could contact if we needed help.

The location, quietness, staff and food were excellent can't fault.

The self-catered apartment was perfect for our needs and had a nice view down to the loch. We had dinner in the restaurant/bar and we were blown away by the food. It was really good and prompted us to eat there again the following evening to try more of the menu!
