the room was pretty small - I should really have paid a bit more for a larger space as I was there for 5/6 nights. Their room cleaning policy was unclear, you get credit for food in the restaurant. The staff said it was available on check out, but you have to use it before check out.

Friendly and accommodating staff who were happy to offer us complimentary drinks at the restaurant bar due to the rooftop pool being unavailable, let us have late check out (12pm) and store our bags before check in (which we were able to check in earlier) and after we checked out before our flight.

Only thing would be the lifts could take a long time especially during busy times such as around dinner time. There was a large line up of people waiting for a lift at around 10am on one day.

The hotel is amazing and so fresh and new. It’s very quiet and a great position. The buffet Brekky and the pool was amazing. The online check in is so easy. The rooms are small but it didn’t matter.

I wish the city view room was a little more scenic as the pictures make it look more appealing. The only thing that was very strange was there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom to wash your hands! Very weird.

The property has been recently renovated and it has beautiful furnishings. Size of room was great - bathroom on the smaller side but not an issue. Location is great and walking distance everywhere

Fabulous hotel in great location in city. Easy to get any where. Good location for restaurants and shops. Staff fabulous and welcoming. Extra special thank you to Annie who was excellent , very helpful and friendly. The icing on the cake is the roof top swimming pool which was lovely.

On entering the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was clean and fresh. Location was perfect, with the tram just at the end of the street. Will definitely stay here again when in Melbourne.

Super comfy bed and pillows! Great location everything we needed was in walking distance. The gym was great with a wide range of equipment.

Walls not very sound proof, we could hear other room doors closing even when we had our tv on in our room. As well as running water could be heard through the pipes.

A rubbish bin and hand towel in The toilet would have new good. There was a separate bathroom that had all this tho.

Incredibly comfy bed, felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! Very efficient self check in and check out process - seamless and online. Good location, close to theatres and great restaurants and bars.

Room was very clean and the bed was incredible . I love the minimalist bathroom design. The bath tub was exceptional and much needed after a long day.

The facilities were lackluster , Great pool but what good is it if its only open 9 to 5 pm ? The terrace was closed also . There is a gym which is amazing but small. but thats really about it.

Room and reception has a nice ambiance and modern look. The staff are friendly and the location is great.

2 out of the 5 days that we stayed there housekeeping was skipped for our room two days in a row, despite hanging the sign on the door and ordering housekeeping from the TV multiply times. We had to go down to reception back and forth for 2 days to keep requesting for the items we needed eg. Towels, toilet paper etc

The room was immaculate and bed was like heaven, the staff attentive and welcoming. Met every need to a tea and even accommodated a request for night time rooftop pictures even after the pool access was closed. Hotel was exceptional as were the staff.

Could not fault my stay at The Rydges Melbourne, the price definitely was worth every penny and more. Absolutely will be back and will be my hotel of choice whenever I am in Melbourne next which I hope won’t be as long of a wait as this trip was.
