The hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful views. The rooms are spacious and clean. A recent extension has made the bar area a great place to spend the evening. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Towards the end of our stay the whole resort was being closed down due to the Coronavirus and the owners and staff continued to work in a very professional and friendly manner which under these extraordinary circumstances was without doubt a credit to all of them. We wish them all the best trying to recover from this personally and financially challenging situation. We look forward to staying there again either in the summer or next winter season.

The hotel was clean and well maintained, if a little dated compared with other Obergurgle hotels. The room was comfortable and the maid service very good. The dining room was also clean and efficiently run.

Honestly, it felt like the owners would rather be doing something else. I felt rather sad for them as they did their jobs properly but it was all rather joyless and this seemed to rub off on their staff. A short walk across the road to another hotel opened up a whole new world of friendly hospitality. A small thing, but to be charged 4 euros for a bottle of tap water at dinner is outrageous, particularly when paid-for drinks are on the table too.
