beautiful setting and gardens with lots of birds; great location and easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. wonderful hosts who were sweet and attentive with our kids and also helped us to organize tours during our stay

Lovely lodge with a great rustic feel. We saw loads of birds just sat having breakfast. The owners were fantastic - they bought my girlfriend a cake for her birthday and left a rose on the bed - top service.

family run nice people.. great location 1 mile down hill walk into town.. good bar open from 17.00 close by then a fantastic restaurant slightly further down the road

The owners were so friendly and went out of their way to help with everything. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet and friendly place to stay in La Fortuna area. It was also about 3KM from a big waterfall ( that costs money to enter), walking distance to a supermarket, and to a smaller but free waterfall with a "Tarzan" swing for the brave. They also served a very nice breakfast.

We had a very spacious, clean high-ceilinged cabin with a patio which was surrounded by a beautiful bird-filled garden. in fact, we saw more birds here than in all the national parks. it was really private and breakfast, which cost extra, was served served here too. There were 3 choices and the continental which was pancakes and fresh fruit was tasty. The owners were friendly and showed us a way down to the lovely river. We were the only people there! it is about a 15-20 min walk into La Fortuna, which is quite touristy. Luckily there is a supermarket and great restaurant, Chante Verde about 100m away!

Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice, especially with such a great patio to drink it on!

Very nice and helpful owners, quiet place, beautiful garden

Felt like a nature stay in the wooden lodges surrounded by dense plants. Located in a quiet area outside of Fortuna town center but taxis are available and all attractions are 5 to 10 minutes ride. There’s a nice waterfall at a walking distance, a mini-market and an excellent restaurant. Fast wifi. Great breakfast. Incredibly helpful and friendly family running the place.

The family prepared breakfast to order daily. The speak some English . They were extremely customer oriented. Beautiful, well maintained lodge.

It was rustic. For the money it's hard to beat.

It was nothing compared to the pictures they have online. The place wasn’t clean. Everything smelled like humidity. There were no place to have breakfast. Very very poor.

Poor signage at night from the street. No lights to see. No group area or lounge just individual cabins so no shared spaces to connect

Super lovely people. The private wooden cabin was very comfortable; high ceiling, good airconditioning, nice shower, beautiful garden around the cabin with your private patio surrounded by plants and birds. There was even netflix. The late checkout was perfect for us, we could do a nice hike to the fortuna waterfall.

Toucans and hummingbirds while you having your breakfast. No need to look further, book this hotel. The hotel owner is very friendly and helped us spot a lot of wildlife.

Nice plain local breakfast, good coffee. very quiet and spacious cabin, surrounded by nature. pet friendly. very friendly owners. a "home away from home" :-)

The kindness and great service provided by the family that runs the hotel, they offered good advice and helped us get around and organize our trip. The breakfast was excellent.
