Nice and peaceful

The views from the property were great, with a lovely sunrise. The space was very clean and tidy, with ample room for all our luggage. The hosts were nice.

We weren't expecting the spa pool to smell quite so sulphurous (think Rotorua hot springs egginness), which meant we actually didn't end up using it (a shame because it was the primary reason we booked the property). The pool was also amongst overgrown shrubbery which was host to a lot of flies, making it less appetising to us. It is also worth noting that there are two rather noisy (especially in the morning before they've been fed), caged lorikeets right by the pool. Knowing this beforehand would be very useful as my partner finds caged birds to be very upsetting to see. All in all, we were disappointed with our stay at Miranda Apartments given the previous reviews. Not the tranquil, peaceful stay we were hoping for.

Absolutely loved all of the facility, cute little cottage with everything available to use. Would highly recommend. Quiet, tranquil and homely. Got to meet the owners, lovely couple.

The million dollar views, the spa bath overlooking the scenic landscape, the quiet but with 2 parrots chirping away occasionally. The local fish and chip shop in Kaiaua was only 10mins away. If you are looking for a cosy studio getaway in the quiet, with minimal cooking then this is it. The owners were lovely and responsive.

The kitchen space wasn't designed to cook in with not much bench space. The apartment is attached to the main house although you have your own space. Rest was fine.

During the day the facility would heat up and make it very hot. No aircon and no ventilation. I did wake up to muddy cat paw prints all over my Holden Ute for the last 2 nights which I had to clean at my expense.

it is in a wonderful place, all amenities are excellent, the outdoor terrace is a delight to spend evenings / morning, the owners are kind and accomodating
