I met one of the owners Barry on the first day who was really helpful getting me oriented around. Very nice spacious cottage where everything was included. I liked the open kitchen, living room with the large TV. What really surprised me was the speed of the internet for such a rural location - will definitely take the laptop next time! The shower and toilet were good too and bed super comfortable.

Was nice to get extras considering there was no near by shop. Water, juice, biscuits, milk, lots of coffee, salt, sauce, all sorts. And the outside table.

Couldn't figure out how to keep the outside lights on. No big deal though we could of just asked.

Beautiful and tranquil setting. very relaxing and comfortable, clean and spacious. Delicious fruit right off the trees. 10min drive to the nearest swimming beach, 20-30min to Auckland and Thames. Fabulous hosts!

We had a wonderful time at Anita and Barry’s place. The garden was beautiful and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. My daughter had a lovely time collecting eggs for breakfast and exploring the farm. It was also really close to the Pūkorokoro shore bird sanctuary which was what brought us to the area. Close enough to Thames to go check out the market or get lunch.

great hosts went out of there way to drop of eggs and fruit for breky one day even fish he had just caught this lovely cottage is near new with everything that makes a great holiday will be back thanks barry graeme and annemarie

The property is beautiful, peaceful and very comfortable. The flow of the house to the outdoor area was so enjoyable we didn’t want to leave. A safe and happy place to enjoy. The owner Barry was very kind and hospitable. The kids & I had a very memorable stay. We were made to feel very very welcome. Thankyou to Barry & Anita.

Fantastic place to stay, Barry and Anita made us feel like we were at home, we were in the area for work and really appreciated the comforts of home, not to mention the fresh eggs and vegetables and the overall great hospitality. The cottage has everything you need and is in a quiet and relaxing location and was very clean and tidy. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere nice to stay in the area 😊

It is a lovely place, very neat and tidy.

Immaculate cottage, fully insulated. Kitchen exceptionally well kitted out. Fruit trees which we were encouraged to raid. A hilarious flock of turkeys in the yard.

Nice homely feel, great hosts, fresh eggs daily and fruit from trees on the property. Barry made us homemade fish and chips with delicious snapper he caught himself, awesome ! Very well equipped kitchen. A cosy warm living room and nice comfy beds.

This place is everything you could dream off. Quite, spacious, clean and gorgeous. Great location for what we needed and the fresh eggs were a perfect treat.
