Amazing place peaceful and quiet. Owner is super friendly, went hiking and fishing. Stores for food are not far there is bobs and Walmart for food which are only 30 minutes away from house definitely worth it will be back again!

We planned this vacation in advance About 4 months before vacation day, I was rushed to the hospital and have been convalescing ever since. It was was wonderful spending a carefree and undtressful week with my husband and kids. The house is absolutely gorgeous, the hosts were fantastic. Thank you for everything.

We came to Shawnee for the hikes. This was very close, including short trails on the property. The property was very clean and included necessities for the 1st night. Thanks, Elizabeth, for having the answers to all our questions for our group.

This home was in a quiet area. It was a pleasure watching the deer. The home was clean; the kitchen was very large. The kids enjoyed the air hockey game. The back deck was nice to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. There was a ramp going to the front porch which made the home easily accessible for my son. We had a great time!

Close to hiking trails and the space was big for our family! We were completely comfortable with how clean it was and had supplies to clean up afterwards. Great communication from the host! Made everything easy for our check in.

My family and i really enjoyed the house, it was very beautiful. The back deck was so perfect for morning coffee, talking and seeing the deer. At night you hear the baby coyotes barking and playing. It was the best time we have had together, none of us wanted to leave.. Thank you Elizabeth for opening your home, we will definitely be back..

This place is great, clean, big enough for us 6 people but will sleep more than that.

The house is located on a beautiful piece of property minutes from Garden of the Gods and other great trails. The house is roomy, well equipped, and has a great porch for just listening to nature. We used both the outdoor grill and the fire pit. the Host communicated very well and we would definitely recommend this property for groups of friends or a large family.

We really enjoyed the place and had a great time. Everything was as expected.

We where 5 moms and 6 kids and had the time of our life's! Hiking, bonfire, playing outside all day long, away from technology and the city stress. we had everything we wished for and Elizbeth is such lovely host. We are coming for sure back, maybe even this year to see the leaves change in fall. 100% recommend!

Great property. Very spacious with great WiFi (needed for spotty cellular coverage). Close enough to all the trails we wanted to hit. Would definitely revisit. Visited with 2 adult children and one teenager. Could have brought a couple friends. Could see a horses grazing while sitting on the back 50 ft covered porch.

I wish we would have stayed longer and enjoyed all this house had to offer. The back of the house has a porch that overlooks the land and a fire pit with plenty of firewood. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room for our family of 5 and dog. The check in process could be improved. We had a little hiccup in the process that was fixed immediately but we did have to return to the outpost to do the paperwork the next day. I feel like all of this could be done paperless now with all the technology we have (with the paper option for those who want it) and we could have been given our entry code and directions the morning of our check-in. It’s just more complicated for someone who is driving in from hours away and late at night.

Beautiful property with plenty of space for everyone. Views from the deck are gorgeous. Very close to Garden of the Gods. Everyone at the Outpost were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this booking!

The house was perfect for what we were looking for: quiet and secluded with lots of room to roam. The layout is nice and spread out, and being able to do laundry for our muddy kids was great. We will come back someday for sure!

We were not able to have our entire group join us on this vacation - but despite that disappointment, we had a great time. We enjoyed the property and the remote/quiet location. When my car needed a jumpstart one morning, the property sent someone to start the car within minutes. Very responsive. Very clean - very peaceful. Yes, if I return to the area, I would stay there again.

Our family of 14 (9 adults and 5 children) stayed here over the weekend. We really enjoyed spending time on the back porch, the huge back yard for playing games, and sitting around the fire pit one evening. The big open kitchen and dining area was a big plus for us. The house is secluded so we could have time to ourselves, but yet it was not far from Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, and Pounds Hollow. There are lots of hiking opportunities in the area. The owners were very helpful with any questions that we had.

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It was one level which was good for my older parents. I would absolutely recommend this house.

Property was nice for our group of eleven. Stargazing at night was amazing. Lots of cabinets and space for storage. A couple of notes the bedroom arrangement wasn't quite what was listed online.... the bunk room just had full bunk beds and the game room had one twin with another trudle bed underneath it. Kitchen had seemed to be hit or miss on equipment. Also the beds were on the softer side and were very loud when you rolled over (not in the master but in the other bedrooms with queen beds). This would be okay if you are by yourself as the problem was less near the middle of the bed but when sleeping as a couple made sleeping difficult.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property or our stay here!!! It was absolutely amazing! The property was even better than what the pictures show, check-in/out was the easiest I have ever experienced, the Outpost and staff are the BEST, and this location is *perfect*! This was our first "whole family together" vacation (us, all our kids, and all our grandkids under one roof) and I am so glad this was where it happened! From morning coffee on the porch (which you just have to see to believe) to late night air hockey and poker tournaments and a LOT of outdoor time in between, this house will fit a lot of activity (and love)! The Walnut Hill home will forever hold a special place in our hearts and is definitely a "return to vacation destination" for our WHOLE family! Thank you for providing such a great space for families to make lifelong memories. I know I said it in the beginning, but I just do not have enough words to describe how much of a treasure this place is!

LOvely location for views and convenience to main site Garden of God.

We loved are time to reconnect as a family with out being interrupt by the out side world. Was just minutes away from hiking and beautiful scenery.

Our family had a nice stay at the property. It’s in a great location to explore the Shawnee area. We had a good recommendation for dinner from Elizabeth to visit E town river restaurant and had a great time there. The house was very nice and very clean. Thanks for the great time!
