I liked the location, very peaceful and warm (it was 0 deg outside). The spa bath and heated flooring was welcome. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of space to move around in. The BED WAS SOOO Comfortable to, I sunk in to it!
The steep hill driveway was difficult. I got stuck leaving in the morning, but the other tenant helped me by deflating my tires. The toilet paper ran out, didn't know where the replacement was...or none actually...but these are being very picky...

My husband and I are older. My husband has arthritis. These studio apartments should be listed as not suitable for aged or infirm. Very steep driveway and we had to park quite far from our studio. We were expecting stairs but the staircase to our unit was very higgledy piggledy. Narrow and handrail did not reach the bottom of the stairs. Shower was over a very high bath with a small footstool for climbing in. My husband was unable to shower for our entire stay. Not really a place for long term stay, nowhere to unpack clothing. Small glimpse of "sea views" through the trees. The picture we saw on booking site is not where the entrance to the studios is. Very deceptive.

We loved the wild and windy beach and a bonus was that this time we got to see, and film 3 pairs of spoonbills, feeding .
The microwave had a conv button which we thought was convection, but turned out to be microwave. There could have been a tea towel holder and a dish rack. The place mats need to be replaced with cleanable ones, but I'm being super picky here.

Loved hearing the waves crashing on the shore, very peaceful. Waking up to the sound of birds and the ocean, fresh air - so much more refreshing then the traffic, sirens and noise from the city.
Leaving, Im somewhat annoyed I didnt book an extra night!

Great rustic style accomodation. We were in the top studio it had a great outlook which could almost see the ocean, a few branches were in the way of an awesome view. Staff were super friendly and we really enjoyed the wetland location with loads of kingfishers.
The bathroom was separate to the room which would have been OK except the walkway in-between wasn't full covered and it poured rain each night so we had to get rained on to get to the bathroom. We also found the pillows too flat for our liking but thats just a particular prefence. Other than that it was great accomodation.

Amongst the pohutakawa trees 🥰 waking to the sound of the tui, so peaceful & the beach across the road!!

Car park was a bit steep & tight, a bit sketchy with the rain but manageable 😊
Only had Freeview, otherwise l would have given a 10 if they had Netflix etc 😊

A beautiful stay
It would be a great idea to buy a chrome cast device for the television, we wanted to watch our movies but had no way to watch them.

Wonderful quiet location with great ocean views. Good bed and nice linen. Kitchenette well equipped.
Slope/hill to beach. Steps to studio. Shower over spa bath. Not suitable if you are physically limited.

Location amazing , room was beautiful & clean , Gardens very tidy & fly spray (winner)
Very very hot at night , air con or a fan would be excellent. There was a heating unit but was unsure how too use it plus wasn't sure I'f it blew cool air as it kept turning off .

The scenery was absolutely stunning, and loved the character of the room. The garden over looked the ocean, which was perfect to relax and read a book.
My husband and I would definitely will love to go back.
The driveway was steep and the parking spaces were a little tight, especially if all rooms were occupied.
