The host was absolutely helpful with telling us about the area and what to do.

Lovely clean room. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast. Great extra touches like dressing gowns in the room. Liked the quirky decor.

Bed was a bit too firm for us.

It was a very comfortable stay, thank you. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the welcome teas, coffees and cake on our arrival. The bedroom was comfortable, warm and quiet, and the ensuite is of a high standard- the shower was excellent. Breakfast was extremely enjoyable and we appreciated the fresh fruit. The hot breakfast options were very tasty and well cooked. The lady serving us is also excellent and very efficient . Some lovely quirky artefacts especially in the hallway. A great location is great and we would recommend Rum Doodle. Thank you 😊

Greeted with a drink and cake which was lovely. The host was extremely friendly and down to earth and made us feel very welcome. The bed in room 6 was outstandingly comfortable, we slept like a log. The toiletries were also of a high standard from The Bath House, a local company and a really beautiful touch, loved them. The icing on the cake was the wonderful breakfast which was served in our room. We loved the whole experience and will definitely return. Infact I've recommended to friends already!

A very slight niggle was the lack of ventilation in the windowless bathroom. Nothing else.

Lovely welcome, room absolutely stunning, nice touch with the bath robes. We stayed in room 6 so we had breakfast in our room which had a large choice and plenty of options and tasted phenomenal

Everything in this place is exceptional and cute! The welcome snacks and breakfast are superb. The room is lovely and comfortable. Everything is thoughtful and staffs are lovely! Definitely come back!

Really accessible to the local town , including bars and restaurants. Very welcoming staff and lovely decor, unique and cosy. Breakfast was amazing!

The only negative was that the room’s close could have better sound proofing and the bathroom needed updating.

No issues with the Rum Doodle at all, I know this won't affect a lot of people but the drive is extremely steep so anyone visiting in a slightly lowered car be aware it does scrape your bumper getting in and out quite badly.

Both the smoked salmon breakfast and the Cumbrian breakfast were delicious, catered well to vegetarians as well! Bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing!

The room we stayed in was the Jungle room which was absolutely lovely. It was very clean and airy and the shutters helped keep the room cool with the hot weather we had the first couple of days. The staff that we spoke to (Steven, Kinga, and Ellie) were really lovely and super helpful. Something really great about the room is that you get breakfast brought to your room on a lovely table by the window (at the time you specified on your order) and the breakfasts were delicious. Also the B&B was on the Bowness side of Windermere so perfectly placed to not be too busy but also really accessible for Bowness and Windermere.

Kinga welcomed us and offered us a cuppa and a piece of cake. We were so tired of our long journey that that simple gesture felt like a bear hug at the moment. The room was impeccable and the breakfast was one of the best we ever had. The bed was comfortable and the pressure on the shower was perfect too. Kinga and the rest of the staff were super friendly and polite, always with a smile and willing to help you with anything you might need. We are definitely going to recommend Rum Doodle to our friends and, if possible, come back any time we want to visit the Lake District and have a proper rest.
