had to wait 1 hour for check-in, door bell didnt work, nobody was answering the phone provided there was leaking toilet in the bathroom, water all over floor no toilet paper in bathrooms trash bins full of garbage from previous guests - kitchen full of fruit-flies

Very noisy neighbors, until 2am on a weeknight. Although we were in the town centre, we didn't expect all night noisy parties on a Monday night.

Top floor apartment hat a terrible king sized bed that bent upwards. Could hardly sleep that night.

Excellent location in the center of Bamberg. Good breakfast. Very comfortable bed. Cozy in a traditional way - decorated with old paintings, dark wood furniture.

Bathroom light went on and off with a motion sensor so you had to open the shower and wave twice per shower to turn it back on. Bathroom door could not be locked. Shower door did not close so well.

Parking was difficult to find even with the map

Location was awesome in Bamberg. The different options of the hotel for rooms are nice. If given everything in the confirmation, it is a valuable stay.

When we arrived, we checked in and paid the credit card right away of €155 which was agreed-upon on booking.com. The room we chose was an apartment that was to include a kitchenette and coffee maker, tea maker etc. because we had food to keep cold and also we wanted to eat in the balcony that the room was Said to have. We walked upstairs right away and the room was plenty big but did not have a kitchenette or a balcony ...so I came right back downstairs and told the attendant that ours was supposed to have a kitchen . She said sorry this was not possible that the rooms were full and I said well I’d like to be compensated for the value of having a kitchen. She told me I could keep the food in the hotel restaurant refrigerator? I didn’t feel comfortable with them touching all of our food so I had to go get our car out of the parking garage and pay to move it to another area to unload our food into their refrigerator? This didn’t make Covid sense. Ended up what the website said was a €10 overnight parking cost me €18 total bc of their inaccurate description of where to park. Just for reference, the south central ‘Sud Zentrum’ Parking garage is much closer to hotel than the north, unlike the email they sent me. What didn’t make sense is the room next door to us was wide open with a kitchenette. No occupants. She said we should not have gone into the room next-door because of Covid and that someone else already occupied it. The doors were wide open to all unoccupied rooms! But we knew that there was nobody else who had been in that room - the beds were perfectly made and the kitchenette was open as if it was a shared kitchen between the two of us. So we told her that and she kept calling this nonexistent family to see if they were coming back? There was nobody on our floor ever! I kept saying that I paid for that so why not move me to another room that had the confirmed amenities -no help. Next morning they refused to throw in breakfast B/c we hadn’t paid for it!!
