Ι stayed 2 times in this hostel during my time in Lisbon, in different rooms, so I will write a general review of the place and then grade each area specifically. In the first place, I spent 2 nights in the 12 persons dorm. It is exactly on the road’s level and you enter the room without entering the hostel. At first sight it seems a bit scary being exposed by the windows with a view from the street, but ok nothing odd happened. What is the worst part of the room is that I was put aside and I had to walk the whole double area room to go to the -only one for 12 people- bathroom to pee during the night, trying to be quiet, let alone the people who were sleeping nearby the bathroom. The Wi-fi doesn’t work at all in that street level room. No internet at all, never. But what was the most embarrassing fact during my stay- which I found out that exists in both rooms- were the stairs to climb to upper bed. Guys, seriously you have to find a solution before someone gets injured. The stairs of the bed’s ladders to go to the upper bed and then go down are non-existent. No foot can be set on them because they are tiny. So any time you try to get up to the bed or go down you are totally exposed to fall. There’s no room to set the free foot. Guys, buy a spare ladder, no big deal to cause such problems. Please work on that. I tried the jumping method, which would be difficult for a shorter person. The same type of beds existed in the 10 persons dorm that I tried during my second pass from the hostel. It seems only one euro more expensive, but believe me it’s worth. More bathrooms, more toilets, Wi-Fi working perfectly there. So my proposal is, don't hesitate to get the 10 persons dorm and ask to be placed on the lower bed, as I did for my second passage from the hostel. Great place close to the metro and the historic center. Although my first experience was bad, I don’t think I would find something more cost-effective in the city.

The location is pretty good, though there are a lot of stairs like in the rest of Lisbon. The kitchen is really nice and so are the common areas

The bathrooms are very small and uncomfortable. It's difficult to climb on the upper bed because the stair is too narrow. My room was small and very basically furnished. Lockers are small and uncomfortable. The check-in has been slow.

To reach the hostel you have to up the hill. Neighborhood is all covered in graffiti and doesn't look safe at night especially. You get into the room directly from the street, there is no hall, given that the door is made of glass and plastic it was noisy.

our room was not clean, we found used contact lenses lying around; walls had smears on it, beds didnt feel clean, most showers were broken on our floor.

the room I stayed in looked nothing like the photos. It smelt SO bad… little black fly bugs everywhere (woke up with bites on me), the bathroom has either mildew or mold on the ceiling and in the shower… everyone was sick and I ended up getting sick after I left. I was supposed to stay 4 nights but left after the first… I never got refunded. 180$ is too much for what you get in my opinion.
