Great stay for us and our pup

It was the perfect location for our family holiday.

The house was very nice and comfortable. In a lovely neighborhood and close access to the beach by bike. So appreciate the use of the bikes provided. The porch furniture could use cleaning but it was too hot to sit out during our trip. Thank you for letting us rent from you!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival it was evident that the grounds needed attention and in fact while I was there the HOA advised the owner to spread Pine needles on the entire property as required.1st day- AC not operating. Outside temps 95-100 degrees.Contacted manager and AC repair came within 1-2 hrs.The same evening my family discovered sand in the sheets under the quilt indicating the home was not properly & thoroughly cleaned.Cleaning crew returned to change sheets and clean. In full disclosure the cleaning fee was credited back to me.The home, particularly the kitchen & bathrooms have not been updated for decades. The kitchen appliances were dated, 70 or 80’s, and broken appliances were left in place. The cabinets were extremely dated.When questioned about it management stated that the only reason pets are allowed and the price was so low (approx 6k with fees) was because it was not updated. Island Rentals as the owners agent should request updating and select better cleaning crew services.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood, convenient to all of the Sea Pines amenities. The roomy house is clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private, screened porch. The beach chairs and bikes are a great extra! Our entire family (ages 12-87) had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was amazing. The home was great with plenty of room for all of us. A huge amenity was the 4 bikes! The home is located in a very peaceful area, as Sea Pines is always a delight to visit. Thank you for giving my family this choice!

Bright spacious home ,Need some warmth especially lamps .I purchased a few and left some behind Bed confortable , Outside very neglected, sad looking fridg need repair as the old stove . The management co. Was superbe , and provided with many necessary items and repairs.Very confortable, not totally update ,but a good value

Loved this house!!! We came to Hilton Head to be with family at Christmas. This house was perfect! Very spacious, tons of room with lots of new updates including flooring and furniture. We saw deer every morning while having coffee. This was a treat for my husband. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoor living space because of the extreme cold temperatures but it looked amazing and is huge. I would definitely rent this property again,. We loved the location and everything about it. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

House had lots of room and was clean. Kitchen needed updating but everything worked. Ceiling in room with non working fireplace has some damage probably due to use of fireplace.

We chose this property because of the location and the price range. We were very happy with our choice. All bedrooms having their own bathroom and a big area indoors and outdoors where everyone could meet was great. Cleaning was good, kitchen missing some utensils like can opener, tea spoons etc. However, it was manageable.

The fact that bikes and extra chairs were provided were a great plus. The walk to the beach was about 8-10 min, but obviously faster if you're on a bike. I do agree with some other reviews about the cleanliness of the home but that wasn't a deal breaker for us.

The fire place made the living room smell like a camp fire. and the leg of one of the coffee tables was so loose it wobbled. The water feature leaked so you had to add water every day, or it would run dry.
I tried to call the owner of the rental agency 3 times to inquire about questions I had pertaining to the rental. He never did get back to me. When he did finally call 3 weeks later, it was to tell me that a furnace company was coming out to fix the furnace because the owner was getting a warning on their remote thermostat. Renting a new place next year.

It is centrally located with an open and easy floor plan with plenty of social space for everyone to spread out.

The driveway and front door face Old Military Road and not Deer Run Lane (the address). I am glad I arrived during daylight to be able to find the right driveway and front door. And the house is missing a few amenities such as a corkscrew, scissors, hair dryer. We thoroughly enjoyed Sea Pines and all the trails. And allowing dogs to run free on the beach.

Nice location, spacious home, great patio area. 1980’s kitchen and baths, stained upholstery, but nice new floors. With some remodeling this will be a great vacation home.

The rental location was great, as we were so close to the bike/walking path leading to South Beach. It was also nice having access to the local community pool. Loved being tucked in the trees. Check-in was seamless. The layout of the house was perfect for us as there are four nice-size bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Having multiple common areas was great as it allowed more choices for separation. Our biggest complaint is that they need to do a much better job with cleaning and ensuring the property is thoroughly ready for the next renter. When we arrived there was sand on the floors in certain rooms, some table lamps were missing light bulbs, and the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from the previous renters. We also had to kill several large spiders and had a couple cockroaches hanging out inside. Also, the house needs a few updates throughout, especially in the kitchen and the master bathroom/closet area. All-in-all, though, we had a wonderful family vacation. Next year we'll be looking for a different Sea Pines property with a pool on the premises.
