Great service, food and facilities

Loved the facilities. Amazing pools and spa area. Breakfast was exceptionally good! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The mountains around the hotel create an incredible view

- gym was a little old and not very well equipped for an adults only hotel - bathroom of our room was rather small and slightly old (would need renovation) / drain smell

Nothing. I did venture out on bike but the local town was pretty sleepy (I did visit off season in October). but really, there is no need to leave!

Staff is extemely nice, the facilities and the feel of the place are amazing and everything is kept really clean. Beatiful location next to the cliffs. The hotel looks even better in real life than in the photos here. Absolutely perfect place to stay and just relax. We are used to go on active holidays and were a little anxious of staying one week in the same hotel with no plans whatsoever, but it was brilliant. Will be happy to return someday.

We liked everything about the hotel. The town of Kolymbia is definitely nothing to travel for, but there are tours to other parts of the island readily available. Food is more than okay, but not as amazing as the rest of the experience.

Location is a little strange. We ate at the hotel everyday as there isn’t a town/village nearby that you can walk to with nice hotels. That was fine when staying for 3nights but would have got a little boring if we were staying for longer.

the location meant you had to walk quite far to restaurants so we just ate in, we were only there for 2 nights so this didn’t bother us.

The breathtaking beauty of the place! the magnificent natural surroundings merge smoothly with the facilities are state of the art, super modern and tasteful. The semi-private pool was exceptional. Staff members are kind and attentive.

Dinner (reserved at booking) was a disappointment. Nothing like the excellent restaurants we visited elsewhere on the trip. Food was simply not good. Didn't feel fresh or well thought. I'm sure they tried, and the staff were charming and accomodated to our preferences, but still, the actual food felt more like a cheap commercial cantine. Complete dissonance to the chic, luxury experience of everything else in the hotel.

Everything. I had a swim up room which was devine. The complex was beautiful. Exactly like the pictures.

Overall great looking Hotel and very good breakfast

Room 104 had noises at day and night coming from the water pipes id someone from the neighbors used their bathroom. So we wome up several times. This could be fixed. Please make sure, that this great Hotel will not get worn out in the future, since there are a few smaller damages here and there in the rooms.

Gorgeous location really just like the picture. Also close to the Tsumbaki beach that you can reach by bus.

Staff were a little bit rushed due to many guests. But this is not a major set-back and they were all friendly.

All was perfect

We just spent 10 days at Casa Cook and while there are many good things to say about this place, there are also some flwas you need to be aware of. Good things first: The staff is young, hip and super friendly. They are relaxed, always up for a chitchat and try to make you feel at home. Although many negative reviews, we felt they overvame their organizational issue as service was mostly swift. The resort is well entertained and offers you a sense of seclusion. The sport and spa facilites are neat and the treatments we had worth the money. The restaurant merely feels like a canteen with tables and chairs squeezed into a tiny area and arranged in a grid layout. There is a reasonable selection of food for breakfast. Dinner was okay, the quality provided made us think of industrialized food. Therefore we opted to have dinner at different restaurants in the vicinity. Their options are not great either and after a week you start feeling tired of the same kind of food. Moreover, the area around the hotel seems run down and polluted. Definitely not a place you want to go on lengthy walks.

We booked a suite with private pool since we wanted to enjoy some tranquility. The description on Casa Cook‘s website advertised privacy and amongst other things, an outdoor shower. And this is were the negative review starts: Nor does the villa with private pool offer maximum privacy or an outdoor shower. It turned out they recently built a row of side by side rooms with a little backyard and stone walls to separate you from your neighbors. Since we wanted to make sure to get the full picture ahead of our vacation, we contacted Casa Cook by email twice. None of the emails were answered. When asked at checkout how our stay was we decided to give them our feedback with full transparency. From the receptionist‘s reaction we could say she wasn’t surprised and received similar complaints before. Her first reaction being „You should have told us before so we had the chance to do something“. Like what? Put us in one of the rooms you actually advertise on your website? There are exactly 2 suites matching that description while they’re selling around 15 more rooms camouflaged as suites. „Let me know next time you come back and we’ll make up for it“ was another attempt to offer an excuse. Will we come back? Of course not. Nor will we recommend Casa Cook Rhodes to anyone. Main reason being, they failed to take the chance and make up for the mishap on the spot but decided to postpone taking any responsibility for something they are well aware of. Because it’s not that we were the first guests to complain and it’s not that we were complaining about a squeaky bed after ten days. We were complaining about something they were well aware of for quite a while (see other reviews from previous guests) and they conciously decided not to do something about it. It feels they decided just to go on with it, providing their guests the same excuse over and over again. This left us with some feeling of betrayal.
