Spacious, very comfortable and the host was lovely.
Breakfast was great as well.
The place had a lot of charm and the host obviously takes a lot of pride in providing an excellent facility.
It was a fair distance from the city centre, however it was close to the New Brighton Pier in a quiet street.
With a car the time taken to get into the CBD was minimal.

Great to see the old convent being put to good use. Welcoming host, beautiful dining room, warm, cosy, clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast. Good value for money.
The room smelt a little musty- perhaps the extractor fan in the bathroom could be stronger?

location was great. owner was really nice and we had a great conversation over breakfast about the house and the earthquakes.

It is central with a short walk to the beach or shops/restaurants. We felt very welcome here - like staying with family.

Breakfast continental- by that cereal, yogurt, fruit and toast which did not best please husband as he likes cooked breakfast however there was a kitchen facility that we could use to make a cooked breakfast and an evening meal as few places to eat nearby. Proprietor was very friendly.
Room we had was a bit cold despite leaving a heater on all day and night. Very high ceilings and room got no sun. Quiet area outside of city centre with few amenities.

Great service. Friendly and helpful hosts. Love the beautiful house and the history. The room was warm, the bed comfortable and we loved being able to see the New Brighton Pier at sunrise.
