This hotel is a little gem — just as shown in the photos. I indicated that I would be arriving around 11pm and Sofia and a colleague were at the reception desk to greet me and, without any delay, bring me to my studio (with a sea view). The studio is modern and well designed, and was spotlessly clean throughout. I slept very well in the comfortable large double bed. Due to my schedule, I was unable to avail of any meals at the hotel restaurant, which was a pity as it is located by the beach and the reviews suggest an enjoyable culinary experience. I would definitely stay at Sonio Beach again.

Sofia is the perfect host and nothing is too much to help. the apartment is about 100 paces from the sea! I love that I had a sea view from our bed! the apartment is compact and very clean, they clean and make the beds every day. nice shower, too

TV not working properly and being tall, and us going at a cooler time of the year (late Oct) at night, the bedding didn’t cover me at night. Nothing else, otherwise perfect!

Great location, stuff excellent, great food, they were very helpful for any request that we have. Concept is great (from road to beach): On the main road is supermarket, behind is the reception, rooms, restaurant on the edge of the beach (you can enjoy great lunch/dinner and see and hear the waves), sunbeds on the beach and see. Because Crete is very large, our plan is to visit again and we will stay in the same hotel.

The hotel is a few seconds from the beach and has a nice pool and great restaurant The staff are very friendly and allowed us to check out a bit later as my partner needs to work a bit The room is spacious and including breezy balcony.

We had a really nice stay and the nice warm welcome by Sofia and her daughter was really nice. They were also very helpful with everything else (taxi booking, car rental etc.) The biggest pros in my view are the location (right at the beach and centre of town) and the size of the rooms we had (we are 4 so this was great). Also the AC is really good as well as the beds and very good internet as well. The only thing for us that could have been better were the showers as there is an old fashion shower curtain that really got in the way all the time. The pool was small and we did not use it as it was full all the time but we did not really care about that as the sea is next door. But the friendly support from Sofia and her daughter really made the stay extra nice, really nice people.

The location is great. The hotel is literally at the beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The common area is great, gardens, pool and the best restaurant in all of Creta!! We were eating there every day. The room is spacious and clean. Staff was super friendly.

Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room, it was a bit of a problem as we were working. Shower is very small and makes the whole bathroom wet.

We had the most amazing stay. The best spot in town by far. And an awesome restaurant too. Very happy 😊

Sofia and everyone at the hotel was so friendly and caring. The studio was simple but exceptionally clean and comfy we had everything we needed. Nice stay at fair price. Sea is in front of you. Breakfast is served almost at the beach level. Lovely restaurant and food. One of the best foods we had in Crete ( and we stayed for 15 days)

The shower is a bit broken in our studio and hot water at night sometimes was not working but nothing major that would disturb our great stay at this hotel. Sofia is exceptional and did her best to support with nice tips or even to provide an umbrella and extra towels for the beach. We were very well received. We would definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

Wonderful location. Literally on th the beach! Very clean and modern. The owners are amazingly lovely and hospitable And the food ..ohh the food is outstanding!!! Thank you stathi and sophia for wonderful holiday.

Loved everything about this place! The decor was lovely and very thoughtful. The pool was great, very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. It was a nice quiet part of Chania and highly recommend staying here!

Great hosts and staff. We felt like home. Very good breakfast and perfect location directly at the beach.

We enjoyed our time at Sonio Beach as Sofia and everyone we met from the staff are really nice. The room was comfortable and very clean, the beach and pool areas are great, the hotel is well maintained and the food at the restaurant was outstanding. The Sonio Salad and the zucchini balls were our favourites!
