Very good location. The staff, especially the receptionists were very helpful. Good breakfast. The hotel is very near to the old center.

Hotel is within walking distance of L'Aquilia centre with many restaurants etc (although it's about 15 minutes uphill).
Breakfast not so good unless you get there early before it's all gone, and the serving lady was rather unhelpful.

The ac in the room was extremely poor.
Breakfast was ok. The cornetti were fresh and tasty.
Disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open for dinner.
Shower stall was tight, but had good water flow.

The Federico II hotel is just 5 minutes from the central area of L'Aquila, where many cozy places to have lunch & dinner are available. The room was very comfortable with access to private balcony, nice bathroom with shower and hydromassage included. The breakfast was self-service and just awesome.

The staff are brilliant, really nice, very helpful and attentive. its clean, secure, good breakfast and free parking.
it’s not a modern hotel and is a little out dated. could do with a few extras like coffee machine, iron, kettle or tea coffee. But wasnt really a big deal. The breakfast makes up for this.

confortable beds and room, well located (very close to the centre -10 minutes walk-) the staff was very kind and helpful (always smiling and ready to assist), good breakfast and the guy attending at the breakfast room was very attentive and lovely. Parking at the hotel is a plus if you are traveling the Abruzzo region by car.
The air conditioning in my room was not working so 9/10. However at night the temperature drops considerably so an open window helped.

Great and comfortable room , the breakfast is fabulous and they have the best crossaints in all Italy compliments . The hotel is located only 5 minutes walk from the city center and great parking / absolutely fantastic shower

Excellent buffet breakfast...( first hotel so far in our 15 days trip where the buffet was fully available, with many security measures of course, such a pleasure not to be restricted...)
Beautiful park just in front of the hotel with fortifications...
Really good choice for our step before reaching Gran Sasso... we would definitely come back again...

I like everything, from the receptionist to the the dinner to the morning breakfast it was perfect. And the location is great. There's a bus stop just in front of the hotel and they printed the bus schedule for me. I loved the nut cake at the breakfast, you've gotta try it.
The room was a little too hot, which might be good for others because it was really cold outside.
