The views from this hotel, pool and rooms are out of this world! I could have sat for hours looking out into the distance. The rooms were absolutely huge and the balconies were probably the biggest we've ever had in a hotel. Food for breakfast was always prefect, tea/coffee, fruits and eggs whatever way you may like, along with sausage and bacon! The views from the pool are unreal and its massive! Ella is an absolutely amazing place to visit in Sri Lanka and I would highly recommend staying at Mountain Heavens if you are in the area. The staffs hospitality was amazing, they upgraded our room on arrival, as well as making two homemade cakes. One for our engagement and another for my parents 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you for going the extra mile to make our trip one we wont forget!

it’s a small gravel road to get to the property a little way from the down town area of Ella. We ended up enjoying the walk to downtown and then would Tuk tuk back for a small price.

The food was average and overall I felt it wasn't great value for money. The building is in need of work and looks dilapidated in parts.

WiFi, even though it's quite important for tourists, didn't work at all.

The view from our room was stunning. Breakfast was fine perhaps less choice than at other hotels we stayed in.

We went to the pool on arrival. We found that the pool area was busy but not with hotel guests and there were dirty and empty glasses around the pool area. It didn't seem to be attended to by any staff.

the western breakfast was very basic and there were no options or menu. Just a waiter saying “EGGS” a plate of burger cheese, warm watermelon juice and cold toast. we asked for a sri lankan breakfast and was told we shpuld of pre ordered it the day before - but how would we know that?? all water comes warm. bottled or jug. although they do se to give you free bottled water whenever you ask which is good

the room was huge with two massive double beds in it with the best view ever

it is up a very steep road and not easy to find as no sign post on the main road

The staff were all very good

The Wi Fi was poor and inconsistent, not sure if this could be improved; perhaps background music in the restaurant would work to improve the ‘quiet’ atmosphere but otherwise the food was fine. Staff were all very good.

Beautiful location with spacious rooms with stunning view. That's about it.

Compared to other hotels this one is overpriced and it's not being looked after well by the owner or the people who run this place. Breakfast is really poor. Dinner I can't judge because half of the menu was not available. WiFi was not working. Pity because this place has potential to make something nice out of it.
