A group of us, moms, run away before the hubbub of the holidays. This place was fantastic with its open floor plan and a super warm indoor pool and a fantastic hot tub. We enjoyed our weekend just hanging around and eating. We also spent a few hours on the decks hanging swings. Lucky for the warmth in November. We didn’t realize that our rental was part of a multi-unit rental. Had the place to ourselves so that didn’t seem to impact anything. We were also within feet of rollercoaster. So if your looking to be close to Indiana Beach… you can’t get closer to this.

Great location for visiting Indiana Beach Amusement Park & for using the lake. The accommodations were perfect for our family vacation. Very spacious & many extras, like the pool, hot tub, plus extra equipment for the lake: kayaks & paddle boards. All ages were kept busy! Loved it…

Close to the amusement park and right on the water so great for family vacation

Surprisingly, Indiana Beach is not a super busy vacation spot in winter 😂 this means that we had the whole place to ourselves! we chose the location because it was a good meeting spot between our families homes, and had the space we needed. With 5 teenagers the pool was a must and the water was perfect. The home was 50 degrees when we got in there and it took 20 hours to warm up but the fireplace helped (and it was zero degrees outside so I’m sure that’s why it was having trouble warming up). We couldn’t get to the hot tub until the last night but when we did get access it was wonderful! There was plenty of room for everyone. Planning to come back in the summer and enjoy Indiana Beach while we’re here.

This is the second year staying here over the holiday. The kids love the pool, the adults love the open space. The only thing I would like to see improved is when cooking bacon, there is no fan for the stove and the smoke alarm kept beeping! Other than that small detail, our stay was great!!

We rented the Penthouse with 11 adults and 2 kids under 2. It was a bit of a squeeze but it worked well. It had everything we needed to cook Friendsgiving and the pool was great for the kids. The smoke alarms were super sensitive to any cooking, so we had the windows open a lot. Otherwise it was a great stay!!

My extended family stayed across multiple units of Alexander's Landing. My immediate family rented the Penthouse, and it did not disappoint! The pictures don't do this property justice! This has to be one of the most modern lake houses in Monticello. It was clean and well equipped with cooking supplies, towels, and plenty of space to rest and relax. I cooked for 13 people without too much trouble. The grills outside were very well maintained and ready for use. The pool was clean and fun to float in, and the hot tub was very well maintained. We played around the lake in the kayaks and paddleboats and used the pier to get on and off our own floats and things. So much fun! The amusement park entrance is just across the parking lot. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. This was a fantastic trip and I'm already thinking ahead to next year! The parking is very limited, but they are very clear about that ahead of time. The walkways down to the lake and the stairs to go up into the penthouse are steep and narrow. My parents in their 70's were able to navigate, but if you are travelling with someone with limited mobility, you may want to call the office for recommendations. The staff was so responsive! Any questions I had were answered immediately!

All and all family had a good time. If anything would recommend updating door handles all around, shower head in bathroom closest to living room and sliding door to hottub. Just little things very enjoyable space. Thanks

The property was great minus the flickering lights. That may be due to the use of solar panels.

The property was very clean. There was anything you could need in the kitchen to prepare food and eat. Checkout was very clear and easy. We loved staying here!

We stayed here for my sisters Bachelorette party. Bree (the property manager I think) was very kind to us at check-in and helped us figure out the parking situation. The space we stayed was clean and well kept. It really was the perfect spot for 10 of us to get away, relax and celebrate our soon-to-be bride. The amenities are shared with the other residents renting rooms. There was plenty though, and sharing worked out perfectly.

We go for a long weekend vacation with my husbands family and pick somewhere different each year. This year was Indiana beach but finding a property that would house all 12 of us seemed to be difficult. This place was perfect! Not only are you walking distance to Indiana Beach, but there are so many amenities included with the property. The kids enjoyed the pool, paddle boats, and cornhole boards while the adults lounged on the deck visiting. Still all close to be able to keep an eye on the kids as well. I was nervous the property would seem busy with so many units and the space to house so many other people we have to share with but you never felt like another unit was encrouching on your space. Everyone was kind and friendly. Noise was minimal especially late hours with small kids. The owners happened to be on property when we visited and couldn't be any nicer and appreciative of us staying there. It is a great property and you won't be disappointed with any unit you stay it. All have been completely remodeled in the past 3 year and was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and plan to stay again in the future.

Our family had a wonderful time .

We didn't realize there were so many units we would be sharing the pool/hot tub/kayaks, etc with. We were under the impression when we read the description, there was the penthouse and the lower unit. In actuality, there are at least 5 more units. The hot tub was in nonstop use, especially in the evening. Everyone was polite and didn't overstay their time in the hot tub. The resort is just steps from the amusement park. The resort is clean, freshly painted and very nice. We feel the price was a bit high, but we found it last minute.

4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, nice kitchen, plenty of space - this was a very nicely specced suite that suited our needs well. The pool was clean, and although it was a little cold we did make use of the paddle boat and kayaks. Only downsides were that the hot tub was dirty - not sure if that was due to the beginning of the season, or the other guests who were in there the day we arrived. Also the grills ran out of gas, or didnt heat up properly. Would pay a visit again!!

This place was perfect for our party! We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday. There were five couples, and we stayed in The Penthouse. There was plenty of room for us. Anna, was a wonderful and helpful host the entire time during our stay. We plan on coming back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alexander’s Landing. We went in with realistic expectations. It was a great unit (the penthouse) for two families with young children. The unit is great- three bathrooms, four bedrooms and a huge great room with amazing windows overlooking the lake. The kiddos spent hours in the pool each day- we only had overlap with other kids a few times (covid). The hot tub was a nice addition as well- it seemed to not heat very well the last day, but we noticed more people were present so it could have been over used. The pool area definitely could have been a bit cleaner and the water was murky- but again, we were grateful for an indoor pool and had three showers in our unit. The lights in the main part of the unit are linked with the ceiling fans so unusable during the colder months, as it makes it colder. There’s also some weird connection with the water and the flicker when you flush the toilet or turn on a faucet. Management was great and replaced towels and brought extra garbage bags when needed. The only complaint was that the unit below us held different hours than us and were up partying until 3am most nights, making sleep difficult as there was little insolation. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a a quick getaway from Chicago with an indoor pool at an affordable price (off season)!

It was great, our group was able to rent the Penthouse and a couple smaller spaces and all hangout in the Penthouse. It was a great set up and we all had a good time. The weather wasn't the best so we would love to come back when we can enjoy the property more.

We enjoyed our stay at the Penthouse! It was really nice to have it to ourself!! Enjoyed swimming/ the use of the hot tub! And the view of the Lake was nice! Only things I would complain about is the upcharge for cleaning. The dusting doesn't look like its been done in weeks on the dressers. and the teardown of the amusement park was soooo loud with all the banging.. other than that It was a nice relaxing getaway! We will have to come back when its warm so we can try out the kayaks and paddleboats!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Alexander’s Landing over New Years Eve. The space was very clean, there was plenty of seating for the 7 of us and we could have fit plenty more! We stayed in the whole time, but the location was great. My only issues were that the pool area and hot tub areas weren’t very cleanly and had a strange smell - I assume from the sulfur as there was a sign in our kitchen that warned us. I suggest bringing extra toilet paper and dish soap if you’re going to be having 7+ people. Other than that, we had a terrific stay and have already talked about coming back to visit in the summer!

The weather was not cooperative, but we still have all the comforts of indoors (games, television with/netflix, pool, hot tub). Many businesses were not open during this time (ice cream shops, go carts, bowling) and the lake was frozen over, so we couldn't fish out the back. I know the weather is not under anyone's control, but having other options in the area would have been better. Very comfortable space, easy to get to and from the pool and hot tub with littles. Plenty of space to get away, I also liked how secluded it felt during this off-season, parking wasn't an issue and we were never in the pool while another group was.

Location wise you’ll be shocked at what’s around. But for those of us that grew up loving Indiana beach we already understand the “interesting” area being right next to a theme park can be. We had the indoor pool all yo our family which is what we wanted in the winter in a pandemic. Was just our small family. Penthouse is beautiful. Great view. We weren’t fully stocked on some things but there is a nearby Walgreens. Amy was easy to connect with. The pool area is prettt soggy and wet. Would bring your own toys as the current ones are sitting in a bucket of old water. We did bring ours and pool itself was clean. Hot tub was hot but did have a smell (ah well and lake water) :-). Overall we had a great great time. Watched Christmas movies, decorated gingerbread houses, and swam and played games. Perfect little getaway.

Overall it was a nice stay at Alexandra's Penthouse the best thing were the space of the penthouse and the surrounding area local bars were in walking distance. Management took care of us and were very helpful. If I have once negative thing to stay would be is if it could be cleaned up inside all little more. For example, the fridge was not cleaned thoroughly prior to us. We when ahead and did a quick cleanup once we arrive. Also garbage dispenser in the kitchen needs to be thoroughly cleaned it sent out an odor on one side of the sink. Again I did not voice my concerns because everything else was wonderful.

The penthouse was clean and you could tell they have been working on updates. Overall we were very pleased with the inside. One improvement I would say for inside is that the lighting is not good at all and there was no way to control the fans from being full blast. Outside was our biggest disappointment. The paddle boat was filthy and needed to be drained before we could use it. One of the kayaks had a hole that was covered with tape and a plug missing, which we did not realize until my husband was out with my granddaughter and the kayak sunk. There are other boats there that appear to be trash. The grilling area was filthy with equipment in disarray. Chairs are badly in need of paint. It would be better to not provide many of these amenities than to have them there in the shape they are in. For the price we paid, my family was extremely disappointed in the upkeep of the outside area.
