We stayed three weeks and An Island Apart were absolutely brilliant at sorting out all the issues with the apartment so it ended up an excellent stay.

We stayed at this property in Funchal for 4 days. The pictures shown were accurate, and we loved the view from the fifth floor. The apartment was well-outfitted, with a small kitchen and a even a washing machine which we did use. There was no AC (unless it was there and we didn't see it), but that didn't bother us. We did find a small creature that resembled a salamander in the corner of the apartment on the first day, but this didn't bother us either. This little one must have come in from an open window perhaps with the last guest. We didn't see it again after the first day. Overall a great value apartment and we would return again.

The salamander kept to himself and was gone after the first day :) Overall a great value for an apartment in Funchal and we would return.

Great place to stay on our first visit..well located for most of Funchal’s attractions including the port, old town and teleferico. NB the area is hilly but so is Funchal as a whole!

An easy walk into the old town with access to local transportation. Great view of the harbour. The ideal location for a couple.
