Lovely old building. Loved the claw foot baths in the bathrooms. Bed was really comfy. Excellent stay.

A continental breakfast was supplied which was excellent value for money . The staff were very friendly and helpful and showed us up to our room , checked we were able to get into our room with our key-card. Then showed us our shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom facilties.

Could have been a couple of extra pillows available in our room !

Rest of building a bit outdated. The family room says it has a a kitchenette, but it was a shared kitchenette/lounge on the floor

Rooms were tight

The super clean modernised freshly renovated room and en suite were testimony that you should never judge a book by its cover. This white oblong antique building represents its age as does the rich historical first floor containing the restaurant bar and fabulous staircase to the upper guest suites which leap straight into the 2020s. The towels are fluffy and white. The shower one of the nicest in NZ and the bed comfy and everything a s very clean.

The cleaning oroducts used are a little overpowering. Something without perfume would be better and prevent sinus.

This old school classic pub doesn’t try to be anything else, with its larger than life staff to the and it’s solid timber bones. Take me back here!

It rained.

The bathroom was good even though you share with bunch of people. it looks like newly renovated.

The bed kept making noise whenever I moved. Also, outside cars and trucks sound were loud in the middle of the night. I guess the building is old and no soudproof. If you are sensitive to sounds, I would not reccomden to stay over. I hear all the sound from the next door.

It was close to the venue we were attending during our stay as well as all amenities.

Having to change key cards several times and it would have been great to have a family room.

Huge room, comfy bed. The heater was nicely sufficient for the size of the room.

The TV could have been in a better place. It was awkward tucked in the corner so you couldn't both watch it in bed

Comfortable bed and clean room. Basic but adequate shared kitchen facilities. Shared kitchen spotlessly clean.

Unfortunately a contractor started water blasting exterior of the building 2 of the 3 mornings we were there. Before he even started he had his radio blasting out so he could hear it over the waterblaster. Not very considerate to guests.
