Very tidy, good location and nice people

Tops for cleanliness, comfort, location and hosts. I certainly recommend it.

The bedroom was great and sitting room was good however cooking was not possible in the GARAGE even making of coffee we had to get water from the LAUNDRY tub. Only place to prepare sandwiches was on the garage table. Having breakfast cereal was on our lap in the sitting room. The larger fridge contained their food and PRIVATE stickers were everywhere. The window ledge in the bathroom was the only spot our personal toiletries. Please remove your stuff before renting out to someone. I truly felt as if I was at grandma's

Was just what we needed after a very long drive! Clean, well equipped space, close to beach and walkable to amenities and restaurants.

A few small concerns Although Alf spent time fixing tv picture was still fuzzy Also could have done with a fan in the bedroom as it’s a very warm apartment ( due to weather unable to leave window or door open )

Marvelous

Very clean nice comfortable bed. Kitchen is small but works for simple breakfast and snacks. The Kitchen is actually in the garage but has access to a little outdoor sitting area. We didn’t have any meals in and ate out so it worked great for us. The location was perfect for getting around and close to everything. Lovely hosts to deal with!

Quite a lovely little one bedroom stay near the water. A short 10 minute walk to beach and close to restaurants. The kitchenette was the only negative for us, it was possible, but not really suitable for cooking meals. Following our stay here, we went to Taupo for a stay and their kitchenette enabled us to cook and use the dishwasher. For this reason, I believe the Napier stay was a little overpriced as was the cleaning cost at the conclusion, as our Taupo cleaning cost was half. The Napier stay was amazingly clean, well located and a great option if you intend to eat out all the time. Thanks for the stay.

Would stay here again if we return from Scotland

The location to Ahuriri Beach/Seaside was ideal as I was supporting a family member taking part in a event held along the beach front. Alf even picked me up from the airport and offered a ride back! The fruit provided was much appreciated and more spacious than the pictures show.

Enjoyed our stay, property was quiet one street back to beach and boardwalk. Walking distance to Aruhiri shops, cafes and restaurants. Although Joan and Alf were upstairs our privacy was respected and allowed us to use the garage to store our bikes. Highly recommended for a weekend away.

Lovely part of Napier to stay. Joan & Alf made sure we were comfy, which we were. We had free wifi, TV, beds, cooking facilities, lovely bathroom, all in spick and span condition. No complaints at all. Thanks!

Located a minute walk from a safe swimming beach. Super clean, with lovely linen. The owners were very responsive, with great communication. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice quiet spot for a short getaway for a couple or single.

Gorgeous location right near Napier port, very accessible waterfront walk and a short drive into Napier town. Joan and Alf were so pleasant and polite before, during, and after our stay but left us ample space for ourselves. They accommodated us willingly and generously. Their home is beautiful-we stayed on the subdivided first floor with access to a thriving courtyard. I Would highly recommend this booking to anyone and would certainly stay here again.

For me it's all good.

We really enjoyed our stay - the location is superb; easy to find and lots happening all around us. Very quiet and lovely amenities.

It was ok but its not really a self contained unit, its the downstairs half of someone's house - a strategically placed vase and a screen are placed on the stairs to separate the dwellings. It has a nice bedroom and bathroom but you have to walk through the garage to get to the "kitchen" which is a jug, toaster and a benchtop oven in the laundry. There are mysterious cupboards labeled PRIVATE containing presumably the owner's personal stuff, which is also present throughout the rest of the house. The only interaction we had with the owner was when we arrived at 2pm and were told off for being early and warned not to lose the key from the lock box. All in all it was ok but a bit weird and like staying with your Nana, you can hear them moving around and talking upstairs and their external entrance stairs go right past the bedroom which has the potential to be a bit awkward. If you're comfortable sharing a house with others then it's all good, the bed was really comfortable and the location is good.

An immaculate unit in a great location. The friendly hosts have obviously thought about their guests’ needs and the little touches they provide really show it. Perfect place to come back to after a busy day, would definitely recommend!
