My husband and I had a large group of teenagers for a birthday weekend at the house. Lots of room to spread out in the house and the upstairs space was perfect for the kids hangout. The pool table got lots of use. I cooked 8 meals for 15 in the kitchen and had everything I needed including things like spices, tinfoil and plastic wrap. The location of the house is great. The kids all enjoyed the nearby pier while the adults had dinner at the porch cafe. Beach access is two houses down. There’s a green space out front of the house perfect for throwing the football around. Plenty of bath towels and even beach towels provided! We used the laundry room - detergent is also provided. The owner is very responsive. A great property perfect for a large group. I’d happily rent it again.

One of our best rental experiences. Property met/exceeded the listing and associated pictures. Fully equipped from kitchen to bathroom suites to beach fun! Configuration was perfect for our 4 couples and two infants. Had some basic baby needs (pack n’ plays, bassinet, high chair). Beach access is an easy 10 minute walk from the house via private boardwalk. Wagon allows you to haul beach toys/games. Kroger is ~10 mins away to stock up. Owners were very nice/responsive on a couple simple questions we had. Definitely will stay here again.

This property exceeded our every expectation! The living area is roomy, the view of the Gulf from the decks is spectacular, the beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of high quality linens and towels. This Christmas vacation was my family's 10th, our first to Galveston. The beach provided constant entertainment, even in the winter! The kitchen was well equipped (the best I have experienced) with plenty of dishes, glasses and cookware/utensils. I can't think of anything in the kitchen that was lacking or needed to be added. We used the bicycles and some sand buckets that were in garage but there were many more beach toys available. The entry stairs has one low spot that is well marked and not a problem, just be aware. On the day of our arrival, Galveston experienced a rare low-temperature freeze. As a result, we stayed inside and played lots of games the first couple of days. We also cooked and ate most meals at the house! This house accomodated our large family perfectly inside and out!

Longtime friends with families converged from three different states to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. At $1,587 a night this premium property came with a steep price (the highest of all considered) and we hoped it would be worth the money for this special gathering. The house indeed afforded a lovely spot on the beach! We were grateful for the beach cart to haul stuff back and forth for the short walk (about 100 yards). The owners were very kind and quick to respond to questions and needs. The house had a great spacious layout for a multi-family group like us - appreciated the large kitchen and living room, second floor with bunk rooms and pool/ping-pong table, large front decks, garage for parking rental cars. The double ovens were essential. As a coffee grinder was an item we desired, a new one was provided. Despite its youthful age and premium price, this house needs some TLC/investment: Upon arrival the clothes dryer and refrigerator ice maker were both inoperable. We helped the appliance serviceman carry the dryer in pieces down two flights of stairs. The owner offered us free laundry if we drove to a nearby laundromat; the dryer was returned in operating condition on day three of five. The ice maker remained inoperable and went twice to a local store to buy ice. Blinds did not operate correctly in at least two bedrooms, stuck in one position (less gulf view; less privacy) The bed frame on the second floor king bed was not properly assembled (parts on the floor under the bed); squeaked with every movement Pool table pockets falling apart, outdoor fireplace didn't work (nor indoor; it was unseasonably cold in Texas), wobbly legs on dining room chair, rusty beach chairs (most all of the "included" beach gear was in poor condition) Kitchen could use some additional tools - i.e. only one small whisk, not enough mixing bowls Fitted sheets with worn elastic; top floor window cracked Most importantly, this house could use disclosure that there is active construction occurring next door (about 12 feet away) on one side and one house away on the other. Thus, we were greeted with the sights and sounds of hammering, sawing and smoking; workers were actively framing the house next door with view down to the balcony areas of the rental house; watch out for nails on street and sidewalk. The neighborhood is largely undeveloped; construction will be present for some time; this is an important item for potential renters.

We rent a large house in Galveston yearly and I have to stay we felt the layout of the house was one of the best ever. The number of king bedrooms (and one queen) was perfect for multiple families. 2 bunkrooms for the kids allowed us to have a room for boys and girls! Everything we needed was in the house. Location was amazing! So close to the strand and everything downtown made a quick trip for ice cream completely do able! And you can't beat beach front. The views and beach access were incredible. The only downside was lots of construction in the neighborhood. (not at all the fault of the homeowner. it just was what it was but it was very loud because there is a new house going in right next door). The communication was excellent and the homeowners both responded to and took care of our needs immediately. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home that is perfect for multiple families. The room and bathroom layout was ideal for each family. The house was clean and the owners were helpful and communicated well.

Our family of 16 from 3 - 70 loved this house. Very spacious, accommodates all ages. Beach views are stunning. Decor and attention to detail were amazing. The golf cart was excellent for getting to the beach with kids, tents & toys! We will definitely rent again.

Beautiful home with a perfect beach location.

Mattresses need replacing in master suite. The golf cart parking brake does not hold on an incline. Unfortunately this property is on a public beach so we had to get to the beach very early to set up our canopies and chairs. This does not guarantee any privacy and we experienced other people cramming in next to us. With everybody playing different loud music, coupled with the frequent helicopter noise you could barely hear the waves.

This house is Great beach house ! The views from front and back were great, watching the sun come up in the morning and set in the evening all from the enjoyment of the den ! The golf was the best part for loading up and going to the beach or just driving down the street for ice cream runs ! We have stayed at other houses here on the beach and this is the very best ! We will differently come back . Don B.

Perfect accommodations for a family with many adults and young children. Short walk across a boardwalk to the beach.

Layout of home was good for our family. Beach resources and golf cart was more than enough. Great views and much to do. Home owner Jamie very kind to work with. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful VRBO. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had 6 adults and 8 children ranging in age from 11 to 19 and had plenty of room. The beach themed decor was very tasteful adding a homey feel. The many TVs were great with lots of channels (YouTube), the WiFi was very high speed, and the lighting throughout the house was very good! The kitchen was well equipped and spacious with room for multiple cooks. We appreciated having beach equipment available and highly recommend renting the golf cart for going to the beach. The homeowners were quick to respond to questions and solve problems. I could continue to mention other attributes, but then this review would be waaaay too long. We would love to return again for a great beach vacation!

Sand Castle was a wonderful property ! Plenty of space, games for the kids and youth, big living room, lots of beach toys, a golf cart to rent, and beautiful views.

My husband and I, along with our children & grandchildren stayed in this lovely beach home for a week. It is a beautiful home and has everything you would ever need. The grandchildren adored the bunk rooms and we all enjoyed the game room. There was plenty of room for all 15 of us and the home is decorated beautifully, plenty of pillows, sheets, blankets, very comfortable beds, towels, beach towels, and exceptionally well stocked kitchen. The beach views are beautiful and it is located on a long, long stretch of beautiful beach. It is just a few minutes from the strand district and Seawall Dr, so very convenient. The hosts responded very quickly if we had questions! We hope to come back to same house next year!

The home has all the amenities a traveler could want or need. The location is secure, quiet, and peaceful. Neighbors were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Best property and location in Galveston! Great for adults or families (and hardy elders, given the amount of stairs). The owners were also very responsive and take good care with their clients.

This is a beautiful home with lovely amenities. Wonderful location. Host is very responsive and available anytime there’s a question. This is a perfect property for families and friends, especially those that have children. The rooms are bigger than expected, including the living room. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed.The location is perfect as it is a short walk across the pedestrian bridge. It is also close to all the stores and other points of interest in Galveston.Above it all, the views of the sunset at dinner time is just stunning.
