Great location, everything was close by. Perfect for dog owners as house had every accommodation for your pet (crate, leash, dog bowls, furniture covers). Above expectations regarding grills, fishing & crabbing equipment, beach chairs, bicycles…everything! Check in/out communication snags (no email when unit was available to check in, Seaside site didn’t show access code, no email with checkout instructions)

Really enjoyed the place except for the rock hard beds.

We had a wonderful time at Island Haven - my husband, his parents and myself slept wonderfully and had a great time at the house! So quiet. We enjoyed the pier, the patio and the stunning views. The house and kitchen are well equipped and in even better shape than in the pictures suggest. We’d love to stay another time! The property manager was kind and very responsive: they fixed the screened door the same day - on a holiday! - quite outstanding.

Pull out sofa was very dirty and a Lotta cat hair and it smelled and we had to spray it a few times and there’s still cat hair drifting all over the first floor

Island Haven should be renamed Sunrise Haven. My mom and I watched the sunrise every morning from the top deck, and it was such a beautiful thing to behold. Our family of 5 plus our dog stayed for 6 days. We enjoyed the view and being able to relax together. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans and utensils. There is plenty of storage in the bedrooms, and the living room and dining table both had seating enough for everyone. The beds are a little stiff, so if you have trouble sleeping you might need to bring a foam topper. I would also recommend you bring insect repellant and some sort of itch relief cream if you plan to spend much time outdoors. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy both on land and water. The neighborhood provides a safe place to walk or bike.

The views were amazing but the property was not for seniors. The steps were narrow and steep. The place was not very clean in the middle of a pandemic. There were signs all over stating why we could not use the dishwasher or the jetted tub or close the blinds to the deck. We took heed of all these and did nothing to disturb the broken amenities. Still we appreciate the time away for a couple of days. I would not want to stay there any longer than two or three days.

This was a perfect location to relax - the views from the property are fantastic. Nice quiet area. The kitchen was adequately equipped but not outstanding. The unit was clean however the upholstered furniture could use a refresh.

While we, the humans, certainly enjoyed our time at Island Haven we're fairly certain that our dogs actually had THE BEST time! The setting could not be more beautiful and peaceful. It was so nice to have a dock to be able to launch kayaks and fish off of although it did lack a water line out to the dock. The unit itself was exceptionally clean. While the furnishings are a bit dated it was very comfortable and had plenty of room for us. We particularly enjoyed the LARGE dining table. Not only was it a great place to eat but it also allowed us to spread out puzzles, board games, etc. Also the location was perfect. It took maybe two minutes to drive to the "main drag" where the majority of restaurants are on the island. And it was equally close to the entrance to the Wildlife refuge where are the gorgeous and pristine beach is located. Check-in was exceptionally easy as was Check-out. The people working at Seaside Vacations were very helpful and gave us some great recommendations on places to rent beach chairs, kayaks and other such equipment as well as where to get some of the best crabs. Chincoteague is not only a lovely town to visit but also a welcome place to vacation and unwind.

The location(Piney Island) on the water is wonderful. However, the dock is in disrepair and the house has not been updated and has quite a few things that are not fully functional inside. The views and access to water make it worth it, but it is definitely due for a renovation soon.

This was a great place to stay and the location can’t be beat! Quiet street with gorgeous views, a private dock and plenty of space. It’s not luxurious or fancy- some of the furniture could use some updating, but overall it was super clean and lovely.

This property exceeded my expectations in every way and we hope to / look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you to the owners who shared their magical nook with us, the laughter and memories made at your house will be forever cherished in our hearts.
