First of all, the location is great for water activities. Talking about walking distance around - there is nothing around(just corn field). Own access to the water, what is the only advantage here.
But the main problem is that the house is located on the back yard of the owners house, so no privacy at all. Loud because of the AC system of the main house, which is located right in front of you. So you can’t enjoy nature and silence at all. About privacy imagine: 2-3 meters from owner house, you see them, their dogs and all their guests who can arrive, they see you and noise from AC all the time. No sun on the back yard, where the house is located.
House itself is not clean enough. bedding is not good at all (itching after first night, so we left earlier), I would say 3 out of 5 for cleanliness.
To sum up, it’s a good option for 1 night, not more.

All the dishes, flatware, and pots I got out of the cupboard to use were filthy. They had NOT been washed with soap and it was disgusting. The side of the fridge and microwave had spills and dirt on them. What was the biggest disappointment for me was that I could not access the water. Because of bad knees I have to be able to walk into the water and I was assured by the owner that I could, however, it was large rocky boulders and impossible to do without falling...very dangerous on my own. Consequently I did not get into the water at all. The bbq grill was filthy and no one even bothered to sweep the deck of leaves and debris. What did I pay for?

We had a really lovely visit and other than not being able to open the front door completely and the noise of the main house air conditioner it was a relaxing and comfortable stay.

The property and the hosts exceeded our expectations. They were very welcoming and responded to texts in a very timely manner. The cottage itself was clean and met our needs! I also loved the decor!!!! The area has a lot to offer as well. We enjoyed our stay so much we have rebooked for next year! Thanks Karen and Stew for a great experience!

A cute little couples cottage that has been built with great attention to detail with all the right amenities and personal touches . It is on a great property with access to a nice lake. Karen and Ron are great hosts, gracious, and promptly answered all questions.

Enjoyed my relaxing two weeks at Sweet for Two. The cottage was perfect for me. It is small, but spent little time inside. Kitchen had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable, and it was nice not to have to bring towels and bedding. Enjoyed swimming off the dock, relaxing on the deck, and having a campfire at night. Location is perfect for exploring the area. Only 20 minutes to Balsam Lake Provincial Park to spend time on a beach. Although Karen and Stew’s house is right beside the cottage, it was not a problem, rarely saw them. Karen did bring me treats several times during my stay. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Loved our cottage stay at the sweet for two! From check-in to check-out the stay and cottage itself was awesome and it was seamless all around. Very spacious for two and has everything you need and more. The hosts were so kind and attentive. Karen brought over a delicious treat our last morning at the cottage, so lovely, generous and very yummy. :) We would love to come back and hope to in the near future. Great location as well and beautiful waters/mornings. Can't recommend enough.

The property was lovely and very well clean and the outdoors was groomed very well, access to the lake for swimming was a stone's through away.
Many thanks to the property owners.

We have returned to Sweet for Two several times. We enjoy it each time. Location, cottage and hosts are wonderful. We will return again.
Note- the wifi is quite weak and spotty. For many on vacation this is not an issue, however if you like to stream or plan to do a bit of work you should take this into consideration.

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our time here! We stayed in early fall. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. The property is right on the lake and our cabin had its own dock. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Karen even left us some great banana bread for breakfast on our check-out morning. Thanks for having us 😊

This property owner violated all service dog laws and caused my vacation to be cut short because of the treatment we received. I have attached documentation regarding our stay.
On arrival the owner demanded to know what my service dog was for. My husband said that I have PTSD. Karen (the owner) came at me in a very combative way demanding in a loud voice that she needs to know what tasks my service dog does for me. Having read the service dog requirements on the VRBO website and know the Americas with Disabilities Act, I know Karen is not allowed to ask me this question which is a violation on my privacy. When I said this, she came back at me saying that PTSD is not a disability and that I don't require a service dog. I showed her my Dr's note, which is legally the only document I am required to show by Ontario legal standards, she said again "what tasks does he do for you" Again I informed her she was not allowed to ask me that. Karen kept telling me that my $25 000 service dog was just an emotional support dog and that I don't have access. She was very unpleasant to deal with. After a very heated argument she went into the main house to decide whether we were allowed to stay. At this point I even offered to receive a full refund and go home. Karen came out after about 20min of us just sitting in the van. She had in hand the VRBO service animal rules where it clearly states what questions she was allowed to ask me, to which I answered willingly. Is this a service animal: "Yes" Are you disabled? "Yes" but then again she asked "what tasks does this dog do for you" Again I stated that she is not allowed to ask me that. Samson, who is my service animal for PTSD, anxiety disorder, depressive mood disorder, has been trained for 2 years which is a total of $25 000. He is trained in behavior interruption, deep pressure therapy, nightmare interruption, dissociation interruption, finding exits, detecting rises in cortisol and many more. Karen eventually let us stay once again saying that Samson was only an emotional support animal and that she was only letting us stay because of her kind heartedness. We were booked to stay 3 nights but only stay 2 because the mental torment Karen caused I did not feel well enough or safe enough to stay the 3 nights. Karen also had 5 of her own dogs that barked non stop at Samson and myself. I feel violated and robbed of my anniversary celebration

Great spot on Cameron Lake! Great view from the porch; sliding patio doors and BBQ. The cottage is a perfect size for two and was clean, quiet, and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. A day-tripper’s dream - a short drive to Fenelon falls, Coboconk, and accessible day trips by car to Bobcaygeon and Haliburton. It’s in a quiet community, nice for walks, runs, mountain biking on roads.
The cottage has a dock, and if you have, for example, a canoe, this place is for you! Thank you Karen for your wonderful hospitality! We had a great time!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Breeze Sweet for two.
Karen and Stew were very accommodating. When the hydro went out temporarily; she was right there with candles and a lantern for us. The property has a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Location was great: close to Fenelon Falls and the Victoria Rail trail. Karen brought us some local fresh strawberries on ours last evening there.

What a weekend away! My husband and I had a beautiful pre honeymoon. What a lovely area to be, Lake Cameron was in our backyard for easy access to swim! We felt like we had everything we needed in this cabin thanks to Karen and Stew. Homemade delicious cookies from Karen one morning, perfect directions/tips for where to rent kayaks, restaurants to eat at, scenic biking trails and great firewood. The owners were extremely helpful and kind. We will absolutely be coming back again!

What a wonderful stay at the LakeBreeze cottage! We couldn't have asked for a better place. The cottage is lovely, and had everything we needed. From the cozy little touches inside to the beautiful patio with our own barbeque and those magnificent lake views. Swimming everyday in the crystal clear waters of Cameron lake, enjoying the loons swimming by and those breathtaking sunsets. Karen was very welcoming . We can not thank her enough and can't wait to come back next year!

Wonderful Repeat Visit.
This was our third time staying here. The cottage is modern, very clean and well equipped. The hosts live on the property and are available if you need anything but that does not interfere with the cottages privacy. Cameron Lake is a beautiful, quiet, clean lake. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Nice enough, but wouldn't stay again.
Beautiful location, right near the lake and close to Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon. Very nicely decorated. Comfortable bed. A few annoyances that detracted from our stay; no wifi, TV not working, light bulbs burned out in kitchen area, steps to the dock are very big and steep (not for anyone with mobility challenges or a small child), shower has nowhere to put your toiletries and leaks terribly, and the extra blankets do not fit the bed. We were asked to take out the garbage, despite a cleaning fee. Although very nice location, probably would not stay there again. Overall, felt they charged too much for what it is.

Sweet and cozy
What a great stay! Very enjoyable for a couple who are just looking to get away. It is pretty close to there main house but didn’t effect our stay at all the Hosts were great even made us muffins for breakfast after our first night to take on the boat fishing. Nice lake some good fishing and the cottage literally has most things you would need for your stay so saves on lugging up all your kitchen stuff. They were kind enough to provide us a place to dock our boat. Overall had a great time. Look forward to booking again.

Beautiful property in the Kawartha’s
Lovely, quaint cottage! Karen and Stew were so accommodating while we were there from offering a place to dock our boat to lending us their wheel chocks for our trailer. Karen surprised us with 3 mini loaves of zucchini bread; two for my husband and I, and one for his sister who came for a quick visit. So thoughtful!

We enjoyed our stay this fall. Well equipped kitchen, great banana bread and a flower on the table when we arrived was a lovely touch. Quiet.Cute place, decorated nicely, very clean.Enjoyed my stay. Beautiful grounds. I do feel the photos are a bit misleading, as there is no bushes or trees between their enormous cottage and the Sweet for Two cabin we stayed in. The view of the lake is good, the dock good, however the lack of foliage screening of their home for me was a problem. However, the low price does explain this, so there u go!If booking in the fall, sun will not be on the dock past 3:00, so plan your day accordingly if u want a cocktail on the dock after a days golf. Enjoyed my stay.
