Dirty floors and sofas on arrival, poo on toilet brush (not ours), marks on walls, broken hoover … had to contact owner. Spent 2 hours cleaning after buying cleaning products. Pictures on website not accurate.

Wonderful family holiday
What a wonderful property in a wonderful location. Great communication from owner and they really catered for families. Everything you could think of was already there for which made life so much easier for a busy family that often forgets to take essentials! We really appreciated the little touches, plus all the beach gear/ games. Cant wait to book again!

Great cottage for small family stay
Lovely property, really nicely furnished. Communications with the owner were very friendly with plenty of information. The cottage was 100% ready for us when we arrived and had everything we expected and needed + more. Very good base from which to travel to surrounding areas. Would highly recommend. We travelled as a family of 3 (inc. 2 year old) and hope to return.

Christmas short break
We enjoyed our short break at the cottage immensely. It is a beautiful property and the owner really goes that extra mile to provide everything that makes a memorable holiday. The cottage was spotless with every facility provided for and I would highly recommend staying here.

The cottage is in very good condition in every respect, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. Andree is a very friendly and helpful host, e. g. during our stay a garden chair broke. I let her know, not expecting her to do anything about it while we were there. A day or two later, we found a new set of table and chairs on the terrace. Highly recommended for a family holiday.

Stunning!
Absolutely beautiful seaside cottage, decked out in a lovely traditional nautical seaside theme. So clean and fresh and the owner Andree has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The cottage is equipped with absolutely everything and anything you can think of, even down to a bucket full of wooden bricks that my 1 year old daughter loved to play with. There’s buckets and spades and everything you can think of that you might need for the beach there for you to enjoy! We had an amazing weekend, just wished we were staying longer. But we will be back. Location is perfect too. Fabulous!

Home from home - everything you need for a great holiday
We stayed for 3 nights over Easter at the Lobster Pot and the accommodation was fantastic. We arrived to a spotless cottage with chocolate muffins and Easter lollies waiting for the children and a nice bottle of wine for the adults. The cottage has everything you need with board games and outside toys for the kids and a fully equipped kitchen and bbq giving you plenty of options for eating in. Would highly recommend the wood stove pizzas from the Bay Kitchen. Definitely worth a visit and stay at Lobster cottage.

The Bay is a great location, 10 min walk for the beach and close to all the amenities on site.

Fabulous!
Really lovely house. Immaculately clean on our arrival. Bottle of wine and some biscuits and milk in the fridge were a lovely touch - even full canisters of tea coffee and sugar - real home from home feel, very comfortable. The Bay is great and only 15 min walk to a huge beach - perfect for our dog! Found some fab walks and always a pub or cafe an route. Already making plans to return - fabulous place 😊

Excellent, well equiped house on The Bay
We had a great short break at The Bay, the house was warm and welcoming and had all the necesary equipment needed. Andree left a bottle of wine ,milk and the essentials to welcome us to her house. The Bayhas a pool , pub and cafe on site and is situated between Filey and Bridlington. Highly recommended.

Nicely presented accommodation
This is a nicely presented cottage, well equipped with everything you need in a holiday home, with nice extras. The owner left milk and snacks...and a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. The ‘village ‘ is like a small estate of similar houses. Handy location for exploring surrounding areas like Whitby and Bridlington.

Lovely homely place
Had a great time at Andrea’s home - stayed there for a weekend and Andrea was very prompt at dealing with our booking and confirmation etc directions and instructions on our stay were spot on and easy. The house was perfect and there is not a thing I can honestly say was wrong - it felt like a home from home and was perfect for our stay. A nice little welcome pack finished it off. Thank you Andrea for letting us stay we would not hesitate in booking your house again when we next visit Filey and would certainly recommend you to others - Joanne

A superb place to stay for families
We had an excellent stay at Lobster Pot Cottage. When we arrived it was immaculate - very impressed! The milk and bottle of wine were very welcome too.
Because the accommodation is so close to the beach, it made a perfect spot for our family. It’s also a good base for walks and exploring the area.
Andree was a helpful host and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a home from home by the sea.

Perfect cosy cottage
We loved staying at Lobster Pot Cottage, it was perfect for our weekend away and had everything we needed. We couldn't fault it, the cottage was spotless and very well equipped. When we arrived we found milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine waiting for us, what a lovely welcome! It was perfectly situated within The Bay, just a short walk to the pub and other amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and we will certainly return!
