Ideal location for a few days in the area. Very clean and comfy retreat with a nice homely feel.

We had used the retreat before and received complimentary breakfast at the cafe on the seafront which was a huge reason for our return. We are aware the retreat now no longer offers a complimentary breakfast but felt this was a lovely touch considering the price of the room. Maybe if a complimentary breakfast can not be provided the retreat could offer a discount for breakfast at the cafe for those in their accommodations.

Close to beach and town. Had everything I needed. I didn't meet Tracey, but Steve was very friendly and Dexter. He gave me a suggestion of where to walk for good scenic views, which I took him up on.😊 The room was very clean. Essential items were provided, eg soap, toilet rolls, tea, coffee, milk, and even buiscuits! Bed was comfortable. Room was decorated lovely. Bathroom was spotless. Thermostat was set at a good temperature. Checking in and out very easy.

The door was a bit stiff, so I struggled to open it a few times. The fridge was very small, so I couldn't fit drinks and milk in. Although there were milk pods provided, there was only full fat milk. The towels were a bit hard.The noise of people walking about on the gravel was a bit annoying.

Room was spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. Tea, coffee and biscuit selection was great. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of drawers and hooks for storing things. And the shower was just right.

TV was in a slightly awkward position for viewing.

A delightful little property, which was ideal for our needs. Cosy and warm, near the seafront and with ample supplies of tea and coffee.

Only criticism was the check out time on booking form was 11am and the cleaner arrived just gone 10 . Lisa rang to say check out was 10. Luckily we were nearly ready to leave. Time needs clarifying on booking.com

Description and pictures were absolutely spot on. Location was ideal - 6 minutes to centre of town 3 minutes to coastal path. AND a parking space. All this and friendly hosts.
