Unfortunately we had a bad experience at this property. Just before going to bed at 11:30pm, we discovered the master bedding was covered in stains. The comforter had a large brown stain, the mattress cover had a large stain that looked like black mold, and the sheets had numerous splotchy stains that looked like bodily fluids. I had to go to the store at midnight to buy all new bedding so we could sleep a couple hours on clean bedding. After such a bad experience I wanted to checkout early because I was no longer comfortable with cleanliness of the property considering such obvious cleanliness and hygiene issues were overlooked. Unfortunately the property owner and VRBO didn’t allow me to check out early with a refund for the unused remaining nights of our stay. Also, the bunk bed is extremely squeaky. Even the slightest movement while sleeping on the bunk bed causes a loud squeezing that wakes up people in both rooms.

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed.

The location was great. Just a 15 minute walk into town and 15 minute walk to Lake Michigan beach.

We had a great stay with our young kids! The house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the fire pit! Perfect location, close to 5th street beach, as well as downtown. Communication with host was amazing! Always responded quickly and was very helpful. Highly recommend!

My wife myself and a few friends had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again.

This place was so cozy & welcoming. Could walk to the beautiful beach or fun downtown. Was extremely clean.

Was not happy with not being able to see at night inside. One lamp in the place so I moved it around as the lighting in the bedrooms is sooo dim as I. The kitchen. Very clean if that is your number one criteria. The kitchen is not the best to function in but doable. Bathrooms very clean. It is very small So if your group is tall and substantial this ain’t the place. Sunset down the block makes a nice ending to the day.

Quiet and private neighborhood. We enjoyed the campfires in the backyard and appreciated the family of deer that visited. Great restaurants in Manistee! All within reasonable walking distance of the house. Enjoyed our walks to the beach too.
