We had a great time in Hilton Head. The house was very nice, great location near beach, and pool was a hit with the kids! The owner responded quickly to all our questions!

We were down for our sons wedding at the Westin and the cottage was a perfect homebase for our family to enjoy a week together. The cottage was charming and cozy. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The location to the beach and the pool were an added bonus. We will definitely look to stay here again when we return to Hilton Head!

Our family of 7 adults and out 55lb dog had a wonderful stay over the Christmas week. Megan was a great host; quick at answering my questions and very accommodating. Although mother nature didn't bring the warmer weather we hoped for we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hilton Head. The cottage had the perfect amount of space for all of us. We relaxed on the sofas and watched TV, did arts and crafts and played games on the large dining table and prepared all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. The location can't be beat! We walked and ran with our dog on Folly Field beach every day and she loved fetching, swimming and playing with the other dogs. The water was calm and the sand was packed and great for walking, running and riding bikes. We explored the area and really enjoyed the Gullah heritage bus tour and riding horses at Lawton Stables. We definitely will stay here again if we travel to Hilton Head in the future!

Home is super close to beach, a couple of blocks. Really enjoyed the pool as well.

We hadn't had a beach vacation in several years. It was great. It was private and still close enough to everything to be convenient. The location, the pool, the space all helped us relax and spend quality time with family. ...what vacations are for.

Beautiful home, there was plenty of room for us all, very clean, has everything thing you need. Fantastic having a pool to relax in after spending a day at the beach. We will be back!

We have stayed a few times prior to this visit and every time enjoyed our time! This visit was no exception! Host was very kind and helpful and the home was extremely clean and welcoming! Of course our favorite part as always is the pool!!! We look forward to visiting again 💕

We had the most relaxing trip and very much e joyed our stay here. The house is well appointed with all the comforts of home. Very close to the beach which was never crowded. The pool was lovely and clean. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool. The master bedroom was very nice and the bed was really comfortable. The other beds could use an upgrade in quality but everything was clean. And well maintained. Not having an automatic ice maker in the refrigerator was a bit if a challenge as there was no place very close to buy ice daily. Having a working laundry room was so nice as we did not need to pack as many clothes for the trip! Overall we made some great family memories and really had a beautiful experience!!

I was really happy with the property and the location (very close to the beach!). But when we got back home we got an email from a rental insurance company saying that our VRBO stay resulted in the host reporting is for damages (note that we do not owe anything — it’s covered by this insurance, but the insinuation that we broke these items was annoying). I noticed the property had a few odds and ends that needed done (there was a broken chair in the backyard by the pool that we took to the trash area when we arrived, that kind of thing). The host never asked me about these items or asked what happened. I’m not sure how I could have avoided this situation short of reviewing the property and alerting the host of anything amiss. Overall, a very weird experience for such a pricey rental option.

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We have been staying at Hilton Head off and on for years and we recommend this home above all else! Perfect location and amenities for our family of 3 generations. 7 of us from 3-66!

I only wish this beach house was a better kept secret. We loved everything about our stay last week....the short walk to the beach, the wonderful backyard shaded pool and the proximity to shopping and restaurants. These great beach houses seem like they will soon a thing of the past as the mansions are popping up all over. It was perfect for my wife and I and our three adult sons and their guests. Nice, long dining table made for great times in the evenings. I hope we can find an open week here next year!

We loved our stay at the High Tide Cottage. The home was beautiful, and such a great, peaceful beach vibe to it. The large living room and dining area were great for hanging out, playing games, and meals with our family (7 of us)...plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and having our minpin Toby with us was just icing on the cake! We fit very comfortably. The pool area was private and a great place to hangout, and having it heated was wonderful for our winter trip! The location was absolutely perfect. A very short walk to the beach down a pretty pathway, the home is in a quiet, very peaceful neighborhood, and so easy to get to restaurants and shops...just wow. The home had everything we could ask for, making it so easy to come and stay, and Megan (the owner) was very kind, and communicative, and easy to work with, which was helpful as I have never booked a home for a trip like this before...but I went in feeling prepared because of Megan's clear communication with me. Everything about this home and trip was five stars...so thankful for this time and the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home! We hope to return to the High Tide Cottage again!

We very much enjoyed our Thanksgiving. The house had an ideal location that allowed us to enjoy the beach in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The house was spacious and very clean. We appreciated the ability to bring our dog. Thank you !

The entire experience from rental throughout our stay was excellent. No issues with the property, it was exactly as described. Host was helpful and communication was very good. All in all a great experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at High Tide Cottage. It was the perfect size for our family of 5 with plenty of room. We loved the backyard oasis and the location was a major plus! A short beautiful walk to the beach and convenient to so many restaurants and shops. The owner has everything you need plus many extra things that you may forget. I love the little notes explaining rules and policies. The house is so cozy and cute and it’s pet friendly so our fur baby got to enjoy her time as well. Overall we give this house 5 stars!

Megan was easy to work with and the home was ideally suited for our needs.

For booking just a few weeks before this was a great find. Two blocks to a quiet beach, nice pool to relax in and per friendly. The pool was great and the convenience of the beach (wagon and chairs provided) was a huge plus.

Our second time staying here...still LOVE it! It’s the perfect beach house: big pool, near the beach, comfy beds, reclining sofas, pet friendly, quiet location...everything we needed to relax, unwind, and grab some rays! We loved being able to bring our dogs with us...and they had a blast lounging with us, walking on the beach, and playing in our portable baby pool! The house is close to shopping and so many great restaurants, too!

We love HH! We are return visitors to this house. Perfect location, plenty of space and love the pool!

This is our second year at HTC and we loved it as much this year as we did last. New owners were extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

This home is in a terrific location - steps from a spectacular beach & with a wonderful pool. The house is older & has not been updated, but is spacious. If you plan on being outside most of the time, this is a great property.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was very close to the beach and the pool was great! It was very easy to communicate with the owners on a couple issues we had. Property could use a few updates, but overall was a great stay.

A great location away from the hustle and bustle of HHI. The house is great and the location is almost perfect.

With my twins graduating from college and coming out of COVID, we splurged for 2 weeks at Hilton Head and this was the perfect place to do it. The house is extremely comfortable. It is definitely pet friendly as we brought our dog. We all slept well every night (but note we brought our own pillows). The backyard with the pool is like an outdoor room. Just perfect. What the owner doesn't tell you are the little things that are included that set you up for success like the beach wagon to carry your things to the beach, or the fact the kitchen is well equipped for actual cooking (if you are so inclined). The house is in a great neighborhood. Very quiet with easy access (not a gated community). The beach is very close. The neighborhood streets are great to walk and it is also very close to numerous trails that connect Hilton Head for cycling. We would rent again.

We loved this stay! The pool was amazing and the location can’t be beat. It’s about a 5 min walk to the beach. The beach wasn’t crowded because it’s not in the main hotel areas. My kids loved the local playgrounds. Overall, Hilton Head was great for us!

Even though we had some issues when we arrived and I emailed Catherine one was taken care of. I did not discuss all the issues with her. The house was okay you can tell that it is an older property in much need of updates and repairs. I look at reviews and all reviews were really good but as a person in house cleaning for forty years this place was not up to my standards. I was disappointed that in the days of Covid the house was not real clean. There was dirt, clothes and tissues under the beds. They were not sweep under so I know they were not scrubbed. We had to clean under them. The outside fence is falling in and there was garbage in the bushes that smelled awful. Dried dog poop, that I was told someone would come and clean up. The garbage can in the kitchen was filthy, the kitchen drawers needed a good cleaning. We also had to clean mold out of the washer, shower heads in the house and outside. We wanted to put our clothes in the drawers but had to clean them out first because of the hair and dirt in them. The pool was thenicest thing, it just needs cleaned more then once a week. It wouldn’t filter water as it needed more added to it. I hate to be so negative on my review but the bad really did out weigh the good. As for distance to the beach it wasn’t a bad walk and Hilton head is pretty. I just wanted to try a new area. I think I will go back to Myrtle Beach next year. Catherine I am sorry for the review but I believe it needed to be said. You were very kind to me but you need to really check on your cleaning crew

A great place to stay near beach and socially distance! Short walk to beach, private pool is amazing. House had everything you would need. Had our groceries delivered and enjoyed the grill each night! Fun summer getaway during these times.
