We had a little getaway as a small group of 20 people in our ubc thai student association. The host initially wanted 16 max but we assured her we weren’t going to party and make it a frat house and that we were just there to chill. Kara was extremely helpful and reachable and even gave us a discount on the extra person charge. She provided amenities for us too and we are grateful for her hosting service. Thank you so much Kara

We enjoyed our visit to Vancouver for American Thxgiving. There was plenty of cozy beds for adults and kids. It was nice that one family cld bring their dog. He had to stay downstairs which was no problem.
Negatives.....
Parking was really tight but we where able to fit 2 full size trucks in back parking with gate closed. Dishwasher was really small. The TV Channels where bit hard to navigate, exspecly for sports. Was hard to find what was offered. No coffee grinder for coffee we brought but there was enough pods/ground coffee and tea.
We'd definitely stay again! Thank you

A group of friends had an excellent, no hassle stay in Vancouver! This home is perfect for large groups in that it has more than enough beds and plenty of towels, linens, toiletries, etc to go around. The neighborhood is quiet with a just a short walk to excellent shops, cafes, and restaurants. The host is extremely accommodating with excellent communication throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again if I needed accommodations on the larger side. Thank you!

Everything about the house was great. We picked up some grocery items when we arrived at an inconvenience store a mere 2 blocks away. (very expensive) and go lost looking for a liquor store on foot. Otherwise the stay was great, no complaints and being in Mount Pleasant, it was convenient and close to everything we planned on doing. We will stay there again if we take a group to Vancouver again. We were a family group of 7 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has 2 separate living/sleeping areas, which was perfect for us. Our daughter and family stayed downstairs and we and our son slept upstairs. Kara provided great amenities. The location is beautiful and quiet and an easy walk/Uber ride to local restaurants and attractions.

The house was spacious and fit all 11 of us easily. It had plenty of off street parking. 10 min to groceries, restaurants and parks. We had a great time. And Kara was super nice and helpful.

Kara, was a great host who was replied to questions about the property/area in a timely and detailed manner. I cannot fault her as a host. The property itself was good for our requirements i.e15 people (mix of adults + children). The only slight fault was that a few of the sockets did not work in the kitchen area which meant breakfast time was difficult at times. That said, Kara acknowledged the issue and did come to the property to provide a resolution (offered an extension lead). Kara was accommodating and even offered late check out based on our flight time which we appreciated very much. Thanks for having us Kara!

The house was an exact fit for our group. Everything was stocked, clean, and the owner was VERY EASY to work with. We had a small special request that was not an issue. Kara the owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Thanks Kara we enjoyed the house.

Great for large families.
This property was great for our family of 12. Every couple had their own room. Home was located in walking distance to several restaurants and breweries. Property was very clean and had everything we needed to cook. Kara the owner was very responsive with any questions that we had.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay
My family (7 adults, 2 children and a service animal) all comfortably stayed in Kara’s home over the weekend.
The pictures looked exactly as presented, the home was clean and we enjoyed being able to play the provided board and video games as a family.
Kara was extremely helpful in providing additional info once we arrived at the home and was always available when needed. Easiest check in process. Wonderful home. Can’t say enough positive things about our stay.
The only problem is that we should’ve stayed longer than the weekend. Highly recommend. Thank you, Kara!!

Amamzing Find!
I had my team stay in Vancover for a trade show, and I have doen this several times. You never know what you are going to get. At this property they thought of everything. The place was immaculate, the beds and bedding were fantastic (all 6 of them). Will look to make this an annual stay!! Top Notch!

5th time we have been here since September. As always it was great. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked to cook as I would at home. Communication is prompt. Since we have stayed so frequently we can see the small and large improvements that are being done which have all made for an even better stay than the last.

4th stay this year
Excellent stay as always. We have stayed here a number of times at this point and are always happy. There were a few tiny hiccups this stay which were responded to immediately and to our satisfaction. Highy recommend staying at Kara’s place.

Fantastic again
We have stayed here a few times this year and it was excellent again. Always clean and comfortable, kitchen is well supplied, location is great, definitely all we needed. We were there during a big snowstorm and they went above and beyond to make sure the driveway and walks were as clear as possible and safe which was definitely appreciated.

Great accommodation, amazing host.
We stayed at this property for 8 days - what an incredible find! Kara was a highly attentive host who really put a lot of thought into the amenities needed for guests. The house was spotless and had everything we needed - I felt like it was set up by a hospitality professional! Kara checked in on a regular basis to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. In fact she went the extra mile/km to ensure all was in order including shoveling snow and salting the steps after a big snowstorm! The large screen TV (plus 2 in the bedrooms) was a bonus, the kitchen was well-organized with modern appliances and utensils, the beds were comfortable. Also a terrific location - very central. All in all, an excellent experience and highly-recommended. We will definitely be back for future stays!

Really comfortable stay.
We had a lovely stay at the property.
We booked out the whole place and found everything very clean and spacious for 13 people. The house is very well equipped and karen was extremely pleasant to communicate with.
Absolutely no issues, would love to stay again.

We had the top floor of Karen’s place for the second time. It was fantastic again.
Karen’s communication is great, the beds are so comfortable and the kitchen has basically everything you need.

Oh, those back lanes!
Not being from a city that has back lanes behind the houses, we were a bit confused at first on how and where to park the car. Driving in an unfamiliar city in the dark and rain was a bit stressful when we could not see where to park. Fortunately, our son remembered something about this from his research and we found the lane and the parking spot. It was well marked, in the lane. The rest of the stay was great. The kitchen had labels on the cupboards so that we could find things easily and a coffee maker that brewed great coffee. The beds were really comfortable and the living room, nice and cozy. We would definitely come back here again.

The weather while we were there was reasonably nice so the little patio off the kitchen was a treat too. Parking was great, location is also pretty close to a lot of the things we needed. Communication was excellent as well.
I have already booked my next few stays as my colleagues and I are in town often. Definitely recommend

Great alternative to expensive downtown offerings
Large, well-equipped three-bedroom apartment in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood with many public transit options only 5 minutes away on foot. Great open space that perfectly suited our group of five. Karen was a very helpful host and always replied promptly to enquiries. Everything was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Central air conditioning would’ve been nice on the few days we had a heat wave (there is a standalone A/C unit in the living room and fans in the bedrooms), but it was fine when normal summer temperatures returned. Personally I would add curtains in the bedrooms since I am not a morning person and prefer sleeping in a dark room. All in all this is a great value rental I would recommend as an alternative to expensive downtown Vancouver offerings.

Great owner, clear communications and responsive to questions. The flat is spacious
and is perfect for my family (2 adults, 1 teenage boy and 1 teenage girl) especially for the teens that tended to need more personally space to chill.
