We loved Driftwood for our break. Lovely quite street and easy peasy access to beach, town and bus stops. We stayed for the IOW festival but managed a swim each morning. Really enjoyed our home and garden and love to return for a non festival break. Thoroughly recommend. And we loved our surprise goodies and fluffy big towels too!!! Thank you so much.

Driftwood Cottage is a beautiful place to stay in a great location in Ventnor. It’s a short walk to the shops and the beach and the off street parking is a real plus. The cottage itself is lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and has everything you would want or need including Wi-Fi, TVs with Netflix, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. We didn’t have a small child with us, but the cottage comes equipped with retractable baby gates for the stairs and a baby bath, which I imagine would be really handy if you had small children. There is some lovely outside space in the back garden including sun loungers and a BBQ. There was a generous welcome basket from the hosts, as well as birthday card for my mum who we took to the Island to celebrate her 70th, which was a really nice touch and showed the hosts really care about their guests. We’d definitely recommend this cottage and will no doubt stay again.

Great cottage a short but steep walk into Ventnor. Well equipped, comfortable cottage. Beware off season many restaurants closed Sunday and Monday and booking essential for the lovely Smoking Lobster!

We found the property easily coped with the four of us in a well equipped and well presented comfortable holiday cottage. The off street parking was a significant benefit as was the location within easy walking distance of the Victorian town centre with its shops and eating establishments. The Southern Vectis winter bus network is very impressive and easily accessible! We would certainly recommend to others.

Absolutely amazing. Cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for the week. Lovely welcome package and we were able to check in early. Communication with host was really good. Cottage was extremely comfortable and furnished to a high standard. Great location for exploring the island and a short walk into ventnor. Car parking on drive was an added bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in both Driftwood cottage and the IOW. Wouldn't hesitate to rebook if we were to return.

Everything was much better than we could have imagined. From the cottage itself to the lovely welcome pack! We had forgotten how lovely the IOW is and this was a perfect base to explore it from.

Had a fabulous week in the Isle of Wight our first time on the Island. Great location - nothing was more than 30 minutes drive and easy to walk to Shanklin. Cottage very well presented l, clean and very probably one of the best equipped self catering kitchens. Would happily stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1-week stay at Driftwood. Upon arrival the cottage was spotlessly clean (and the smell was amazing!) and we were greeted by a very generous welcome package. The owners have clearly thought of everything- we wanted for nothing (there is also a smart TV). The only toilet is downstairs, our children were 5 and 7, so at night we just made use of the cleverly laid-out tree lights in the kitchen and left these turned on (in case they needed to use the toilet at night); and we always bring plug-in night lights so there was no issue there at all. We visited all the island and we feel we picked the best part to stay in -Ventnor is beautiful (if hilly) and the beach/esplanade was a pleasant 10-min walk away (with children in tow) the Spyglass Inn at the end was a big hit with everyone. The children also loved Shanklin beach/crazy golf - a very easy drive from Ventnor, we did a few day trips there too. The local Ventnor ‘high street’ Tesco express/Co-op/Boots were very handy - (we never went elsewhere) and there are some lovely shops there incl small wine bars, pub, antiques, gift shops that sold the local mermaid gin - and Crave ice cream was amazing! We would highly recommend this cottage - thank you for a lovely stay!

Parking our medium size car was a little awkward at times but mainly due to some construction work across the road. Overall a great island cottage.
