Great stay and location! Perfect amount of space with a large and comfy couch. Loved the backyard space with multiple hang zones (fire pit, outdoor dining, and hot tub). Good communication with the host and easy to check in.

I think the property was very much what we expected it to be. Though we were in the basement apt. Below where the host lives it still feels very private as you have a separate entrance. We heard no noise from above. But we had to ask the host for a supply product and he was very quick to provide what we needed and easy to communicate with via text or phone. We would recommend this to anyone who needs a place that is convenient to Boulder and it's attractions.

Very convenient location on the way into Boulder from Denver, right next to the turnpike. Super easy to park and access the unit. Unit is quiet, clean, and did the trick for our family of four!

Our family spent a wonderful week touring Boulder and the front range. Max & Laura's house was a comfortable home base where we could cook some meals and head out on our adventures. Relaxing with Judy in the back yard was a great way to end our days. Thank you for being such great hosts. We would definitely stay here again!

Our hosts were great to my friends and I. We were able to check in a little early. We are not used to the cold temperature so they made it more comfortable in the area. All of the pictures matched up, and everything was very clean. I'd recommend these hosts, and if I come back I'll look to book them again.

I stayed here with my husband, mom and 1 year old daughter while visiting some family in Denver. We loved how spacious the place was and we felt very relaxed and at home there. The hot tub was a great touch too!

My wife, two daughters and I needed a place to stay in Boulder while visiting my son who goes to CU. Laura and Max have a nice set up in the basement of their home. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Boulder. Easy private access. Very clean. The hot tub and patio was a bonus as we had it all to ourselves the entire stay. Finally, their dog Judy, a German Shorthair, was my girls’ favorite. She came out her doggie door to greet us whenever she heard us coming or going. Very friendly. So was her friend Sully who was there a couple days. A very pleasant stay which we will most likely book again.

It’s a very pleasant place to stay. It’s comfortable and homey. Pay attention to the welcome gate photo (23 as of this writing). This is your entrance — it’s off to the side and actually facing the cross street, i.e., easy to miss in the dark if you’re just following your GPS. There is also some metal frogs and a wooden wagon next to the gate, if I recall correctly. One quirk is that the entry door is in the 3rd bedroom (with the pair of twin beds), so planning for who sleeps where will need to take this into account. There is a public park within easy walking distance. Finally, Judy the dog is an absolute delight. While she will indeed bark when you first enter the yard, and she’s right up with you rather than behind a fence, for us this was very brief and friendly-type rather than angry-type barking. After that she’s very mellow and friendly. She’ll often come out to play if you call her from the yard. There was also a second dog, equally mellow, that came by for play dates on the mornings we were there. Overall I’d say if you are a dog person, Judy is a huge plus for the property, and if you are not a dog person, Judy is neutral at worst and may cause you to become a dog person.

Very nice place- the family was skeptical about a basement “apartment” but it was perfect for us. Plenty of room and the hosts puts a lot of effort into making it nice and comfortable. We highly recommend!

This home is located in a quiet, nicely kept neighborhood. It was clean and comfortable with nice amenities and kitchen had all that we needed to fix our own meals. The hosts were very friendly and helpful when we were having trouble with our truck. We enjoyed the hot tub and felt we had the backyard to ourselves. We enjoyed being greeted each day by a sweet dog named Judy. A good location close to Eldora Ski area, waking distance to a grocery store and the Boulder area. If we visit the Boulder area again, we will check this home for availability first.

I cannot thank Max and Laura enough for how wonderful they are! To start, they were communicative upfront, provided clear and concise instructions on how to enter the basement, provided so many useful materials for Boulder, and have been absolutely incredible after the fact! We hosted a bachelorette party and some packages arrived after we left. Laura and Max went above and beyond to help us get these gifts to the bride. And their wonderful dog Judy was truly the belle of the ball! She greeted us with smiles and tail wags each time we came back. I would suggest booking with Laura and Max any chance you get! This basement apartment had nice size windows so it did not feel like a basement! It was clean, slept our family of 6 adults comfortably & we loved meeting Judy, the owners dog, who greeted us in the yard!

Our hosts were very kind and helpful. The apartment was as described in the ad. Being in the basement it was pleasantly cool in the hot weather. When it is colder it may require heating. The dog Judy is really lovely. Greetings to Laura and Max!

Place was great in a convenient location in south Boulder. Lots of DVD movies to watch and being greeted by Judy (dog) in the morning and when we returned in the evening was a treat.

My family had a very nice stay in Boulder, my only issue was that we were not warned about the dog being loose in the backyard that is the only access to the door (awkward entering a yard with a big dog we didn’t know). The dog (Judy) was very friendly and the kids had a blast playing with her tho! The inside was very clean and cozy. Our family would definitely stay again!

This place was adorable, comfortable, and thoughtfully setup. We loved the relaxing back yard and the hosts were attentive and helpful.

First time visiting Colorado and had a great time. Lauren and Max were great and their place was nice. They had a boom with things to do and local restaurants. They also had games we were able to play. I would highly recommend staying here!
