The place was great for a family of 6!

Nice location close to everything especially the beach. It is an older property with cosmetic flaws but overall nice place with lots of room for large groups or a few couples. All the photos are very accurate to the accommodations within the condo. Biggest disappointment was the windows in the sun room really looked forward to sitting in the evening with them open to listen to the waves crashing in, however the side balcony doors do allow a lot of sound to come up into the room. We are very hot natured and keep a cool house 68-69 so when the thermostat automatically resets to 74 every couple hours we were very annoyed to say the least I woke up in the middle of the night every night to turn it back down. Going up and down the stairs were by far the hardest part of the stay it is definitely not recommended for seniors to rent this property.

The Good: Location is right on the beach. Floor plan and sleeping situation was perfect for our group of 7 adults and one toddler. Building is somewhat older but comfortable. Food market only minutes away by foot was very convenient. Covered parking was very handy and we stored beach stuff in the cars, which saved us from carrying it all up the stairs and kept the sand out of the unit. One of our cars was an SUV with a car top carrier. It was too tall for the covered parking so we had to leave it out in the sun. The sun room and balconies were very nice... great views, always a breeze, felt like you were on the beach but only steps away from the fridge. The kitchen was well supplied with cookware and appliances. We did receive a message advising us of limited amounts of trash bags, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, bath tissue, bath soap, etc. It would have been nice to get this information sooner since we were already packed and on the road when we found this out. The Bad: Our check in time was 4:00, but received a text at 3:00 letting us know we would not be able to get in until 6:00 because the cleaners were running late. Pretty much screwed up our first evening. To walk to the beach you must pass through a locked gate. In the unit there were 2 key fobs which provided access. With 7 adults, 2 fobs were not enough. I called to try to get more but was denied. The convienience of being right on the beach was offset a bit by having to constantly shuffle the key fobs around everytime someone went back or forth. The other: We ended up using Ike's beach service to rent an umbrella and a couple chairs. This service was very convenient and tho not cheap, well worth not having to set stuff up and take it down every day. In conclusion I felt this rental was a good value and we had nice time staying there. If I went back with the same group of people, I might shop around just to compare but wouldn't hesitate to rent this place again.

We have been renting Harbor House condos for about 30 + years now. We love each condo we stay in. It’s quiet in the neighborhood, easy access to the beach and very family oriented. Will continue to stay here every year. Highly recommend!

Pictures are spot on. Had some minor things the day we arrived but the rest of the trip was great. Would recommend for parking that something be added for the height requirements as we were not able to park in our designated spot.

We had a great stay in Gulf Shores at the Harbor House. The location can’t be beat. Right on the beach.

Agree with other reviews for this property. Bathrooms need an update. Jets not working in deep tub. Kitchen is well equipped. The view is spectacular but for us we will not go back because of steps and no elevator.

We had a great time! The view was amazing! The property was nice, however, the bathrooms are dated. We will definitely stay again!

The place had everything that you needed to cook!! Very nice location right on the beach!! There was 7 of us and had plenty of room!! Loved waking up and sit in the sunroom and watch the dolphins play and the ocean.. will stay again. Thanks so much

We had an amazing time at this property, the pictures are 100% spot on. Great views of the ocean, clean, and safe location. Property management was very responsive to my questions and I have no complaints. I would highly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed!! Thank you for letting us make great family memories!!!

Love the fact that we were on the beach. The view was perfect on the enclosed porch. My favorite room, by far. Third floor gave us lots of privacy and a view. We would love to come back.

We are all about location and they place was amazing! Beautiful ocean view. We could see the sunset and sunrise from our balconies and watch the dolphins. The condo is gorgeous and big. We had 6 people and was a good size. And we just walked down the steps and we were on the beach. We had such a good time. We could walk down the beach to the Hangout or the Pink Parrot. Only thing was the floor was a little dirty. Our feet were black before we got into bed.

We rented the penthouse for a 10 day family vacation Sept 10-20. The property was exactly as pictured, perfectly situated on the beach and ample room for our family. Checkin was a breeze and communication with the property manager/owner was easy and quick. What made our trip more than we expected was...Sally! We watched the storm in the gulf day after day hoping it would miss us. Even though it became apparent it would not, we chose to stay and ride out what everyone expected to be a Cat 1 hurricane. Obviously that was not the case. I am so grateful to the property owner as he explained “we were in the safest place possible on the beach, with nothing but water in front of us (nothing to send debris flying)”. While riding out a hurricane is something I hope to never do again, we were completely safe and so very grateful for such a caring person who checked in on us regularly. By the way, even though the dunes were washed away and multiple units in the complex suffered some damage, the penthouse we were in had NONE! We WILL stay in the penthouse again. I highly recommend this property and urge anyone reading this review to book this unit, especially if you are traveling with family.

Very nice property. Needs an elevator. We loved the window balcony. Beautiful view of the beach and people watching.

It was a great spacious place for my family. Clean and a nice view. Only negative is there was a bat in my sisters bedroom that bit her and also the dryer didn’t work very well. But all in all it was a good stay.

Great location! Condo was clean and communication with owner was great. Property is older but everything worked just fine. My only reaxomplaint is lthe beds feel very worn and uncomfortable.

This was our first time to stay but definitely won’t be our last! Amazing place with amazing views! Property owners always reply in a timely manner with any help you may need. Only dislike, no elevators. Other than that the penthouse was perfect!

Great beach location

The property description is spot on. Right on the beach, easy access to coffee shop and small market. Surf store also within an easy walk. The Property was clean and had everything you need to enjoy the week with marked reserved parking for the property. The reviews with the one twin room being warm is accurate, but the box fan and keeping the door open at night let our boys sleep well. Internet access was good for the couple business zoom meetings we needed to account for along with enough to play games and stream Sunday service. There were some balcony deck chairs that were dry rotted from exposure. My husband fell through one on the first night, but this was a minor thing; the other chair was already broken on arrival. There was a missing house key based on the description when we arrived, but we updated the owner. Just keep clear communication with the owner and it should be a no stress stay. For an on the beach vacation you can't do much better. This is a great property!

Great View !!! Older Condo. Kind of Rusty, and out of date. Master bed is very worn out. Balcony chairs are falling apart .. look before you sit.

We had the BEST vacation! The property was very nice and clean! The Penthouse has a Wonderful view of the ocean! Very spacious, we really liked that the master bedroom was separated from the other bedrooms. Centrally located to restaurants and shopping. For a day trip...take the ferry at Ft. Morgan to Dauphin Island! We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!

This was a very nice condo on the beach. I loved the sunroom! My family of 10 stayed there for a wedding and we were all comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Great location. Beautiful beach just down the steps and you're there. It is 3 sets of stairs up and down, so if you are limited in mobility, it's probably not the best. Not a problem for my family at all. Nicely furnished. Very clean. You can't tell from the pictures, but there is an open balcony on both the Master and the other front bedroom. We left our cooler and beach stuff in the back of our vehicle and just grabbed that stuff each day instead of having to lug it all up and down the stairs. We rented beach lounger chairs with cushions and large umbrella from Ike's. Totally worth it, although you may want to bring folding beach chairs of your own as well. Had zero issues with other guests, everyone was nice and quiet. Very family oriented, so probably not a couples trip, unless in the off season. We loved NOT being in a high rise. Highly recommend this unit in particular, especially if you need a 3 bed.
