I can’t say enough about this house. There were so many activities to do. The owner thoughtfully provided everything for the family to do together from fishing, different types of boats, floats, different places for the family to gather, etc. The kitchen is well stocked and the owner is very responsive. Her neighbors are lovely as well. The house is located in a beautiful location. I highly recommend renting a boat and making a trip to goat island. The only con is it makes you never want to go home because you’re having so much fun :)

Our family has been convening every two summers for the past 10 years. This rental is by far the best we have ever had. So much so that on Friday night before leaving, the six adults had a discussion about “what can we do in two years to top this?” We chose this house because of its layout, amenities, vicinity, and the written/pictorial description. This rental fit ALL of our expectations: three floors (one each for kids, parents, and grandparents). A rec center on the lower floor with a pool table, infinity table, and TV – plus three bunk beds for the four kids. Marvelous open space on the main floor with a kitchen area with two ovens, two fridges, microwave, ice maker, dishes-pots-pans-ovenware galore, etc, etc, etc; and a Master Suite to “die for”—King bed, staircase to an office, and a Jacuzzi. Finally, two ensuite bedrooms on the upper level. Outside there are levels of enjoyment from the gas grill and picnic table, hot tub, fire pit, and the dock with a slide!! A full dock level closet for life jackets and minifridge, fire table, and seating round out the area. OH – and we cannot forget the 2 paddleboards, 5 kayaks (large and small), and the pedalboat (which we did not use). You will not be disappointed to rent this house. The owners were responsive by text and just a joy to work with.

Our stay was amazing, the house had all the amenities and then some. Multiple zones where fun could be had by many, gameroom, dock, fire pit, sunroom, porch. Etc. The cove is wide and access to the house was easy from the boat ramp. Fishing was great from the dock. It was a great time had by all.

This house was absolutely beautiful! There were 7 adults and we all agreed that it was the most relaxing vacation we have spent together (and we’ve spent quite a few). Everything was immaculate and there was not one necessity or luxury item that was missing! The view of the gorgeous lake from the porch was incredible! We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating and fishing during the day and lit fires in pit at night and shared many laughs! Thanks Natalie for an amazing 5 days! Highly recommend!!!!😁

Wow, everything about this stay was exceptional. We celebrated an anniversary at this house and could not have been more pleased. The property itself was very well-situated on beautiful Lake Gaston, and we had the additional benefit of seeing some fall colors given the time of year. The view of the lake was postcard perfect. The house itself was even more impressive than in the VRBO photos. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen which was stocked with everything you can think of needed to prepare a memorable meal. The outdoor patio, deck and boat dock offered so many vantage points inside and outside where we could enjoy a good book or simply take in the view of the pristine lake. The gas fire pit on the dock was a perfect spot for a cocktail as the sun was setting. The appliances, cookware, and the 2 high-quality grills made meal preparation a pleasure - important as the local restaurant choices are pretty limited in this area. The kayaks got plenty of use, as did the hot tub, which was a good thing as the temperatures in the evening got quite cool during our stay. Natalie was such a terrific host - so responsive and clear in her communications, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Not only did she provide a generous welcome gift upon our arrival, she was mindful of every detail and extra amenity that could improve our stay. The house was fully stocked with everything needed for travelers coming from far and wide - we never needed to make that extra unplanned run to the store for something we forgot or didn't think of. Instead, we found that Natalie had already anticipated the need and had already provided! We really were in need of nothing during our entire 2-week stay - the house had everything we could have wanted. We hope we have the opportunity to return soon, and would recommend this property to anyone considering some downtime at the lake.

Beautiful lake house in an amazing location. The property owners communicated flawlessly with us and made sure that we had all questions and concerns addressed. From the initial booking throughout our stay the owners stayed in touch as needed, within an hour or less. The house was clean, not vacation rental clean but clean to our standards and we are neat picky and clean. The house is amazing from the expansive driveway to the front door through the inside with amazing lake views from almost every room. It basically has three master suites with a bunk room on the lake level. This is no ordinary bunk room with standard bunk beds either. The children aged 8, 9 and 14 all slept in their own massive bunks together with a fooz ball table in their room that they loved. I promise you that the pictures do not do this home any justice. It's way better than the photos. All of it! One of the two fire pits was a huge hit every evening with smores and the family sitting around the fire enjoying the incredible lake views. At the waterfront is expansive decking, dock and boathouse with a waterslide that has a water source at the top of the slide to make the slide into the lake a real thrill for the kids. The boathouse shed is full of life vests, fishing poles and all the gear needed for the standup paddle board and kayaks. The kids were either going down the slide, jumping off the dock or out on the paddle board or kayak all day long. The were so wiped out after the nightly fore every evening that they didn't even notice the nice TV set up in the bunk room. The boat house also has four separate lifts. One for a pontoon boat, one for a v hull and two lifts for jet skis. We used the pontoon lift and jet ski lift and all were in great working order. Have I mentioned the amazing lake views from the house and many decks with adirondak chairs, swings and rockers? Wake up in the morning and sit on the top level deck and watch the light fog roll off the lake. As amazing as the inside of the house is with a perfectly equipped kitchen with everything that you needed we were outside almost all of our waking hours. I did not take the time to describe everything that we loved about this home because there is simply too much to cover. A real family memory was made here that none of us will ever forget. I don't usually take the time to write reviews but this house and the owners deserve it. This lake home is worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is a great house with so many spaces to accommodate a large family with friends. Natalie, the owner, was great! She was very responsive and offered so many extra details that made our stay so easy and pleasant. She went above and beyond to make sure we knew where everything was located on the property and what needed to be done for check out. We didn’t need to go in search for anything! She even gave local recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, businesses, etc. We highly recommend this property and it’s owner and look forward to returning for another family vacation!

Natalie's lake house is incredible. The house, the decks, the yard, the dock and the water are all within talking distance. If you are looking for a place for three families with kids this is ideal. There are three grown up bedrooms with king size beds and one big bunk room downstairs for the kids. Everything is as described and as it looks in the pictures. Couldn't ask for more.

Beautiful home in nice subdivision. Awesome views, very nicely equipped. The pantry items were a nice touch! So nice to not have to bring spices aluminum foil, etc...

We like to take a week every year in Lake Gaston. This year we wanted deeper water off the dock. This house is perfect. Plenty of Kayaks for everyone and a slide off the dock. The Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of pots and pans to cook any meal. We played games every night and enjoyed sitting around the fire. Natalie and John are very responsive and were the perfect hosts for the week. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

House was at a great location and the dock was amazing! House was filled with amenities and everything you could ask for. Totally recommend!

We loved staying here! My family and I have stayed at a good number of vacation rentals, and this house is definitely the cleanest we've ever seen. It had everything we needed and more, from bed linens and towels to cleaning supplies to kitchenware (2 ovens to cook our Thanksgiving dinner in!). The property owners were so kind and very responsive to every question we asked. And, of course, the property is amazing. The lake is beautiful, and we loved spending chilly evenings by the fire pit. Plenty of room in the yard for kids to play and run around. This really is a fantastic place, and we would love to stay here again!

This property has everything. The kitchen is well stocked, including pantry essentials. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The teens in our group were out on the provided kayaks several times a day, and everyone enjoyed ringing the bell as we slid down the slide into the lake. It was only a short drive to the boat slip and it was very convenient to dock at the house for the week. We highly recommend staying here and we are considering a return trip ourselves.

From the very beginning the owner communicated and was responsive to all questions. House is exactly as depicted in pictures, but its location on a cove on Lake Gaston is better than advertised. Perfect place for kayaking, tubing, or waterskiing. Cannot think of anything negative to say about the house or host!

Amazing hosts and great communication. We have rented in Lake Gaston for the past 6 years and this place was the best so far. It has everything you need to relax for the week. Kitchen is well equipped and linens included which was much easier than having to bring those with you. Overall just a quiet relaxing place.

Property was in good condition. Loved the quiet cove it was in, could swim, float and relax off the dock and not worry about boats going past. Really had a great family time. The place is well stocked with miscellaneous items that you might forget to bring with you. We'd recommend this place!

We absolutely love this home! The property owners have gone above and beyond to make sure this house is ready for your stay. They left a welcome gift and note for us which was a much appreciated personal touch. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen we have ever seen. We usually bring certain items because we know a rental home will not have everything we need. Not the case here. From the pots and pans to appliances, hand towels, cutlery, bar ware, cleaning products. Just amazing. And the storage space for your food, snacks, etc is off the charts. This is the first rental we have ever had where we never had to have one thing sitting on the kitchen counters! The owner supplies very nice and large lake towels in addition to bath towels. There was hand soap in every bathroom. The bed linens are top notch. The boathouse is full of life jackets, including toddler sizes. Don’t bring any outdoor chairs like we did because there are more than enough chairs for everyone. The level of attention to detail is just unheard of in a rental property. The house itself is truly charming, inside and out. I looked forward to every morning sitting on the back porch, sipping coffee and watching the sun rise. The dock gets morning sun and afternoon shade which is perfect on a hot day. We rented a pontoon boat and jet skis for the week. The house is located on one of the lakes “fingers” so you can kayak around or use the jet skis without going too far out into the main part of the lake which was nice. During the week the neighborhood and the lake was surprisingly quiet which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable. The lake is truly the main event here. Don’t expect a lot of outside entertainment or dining options anywhere close by. There is a Food Lion close by for groceries, beer and wine, and an ABC store for liquor, but if there is anything you really don’t want to be without make sure you bring it. We wish we did not have to leave such a glowing review for this property because the cat is gonna be out of the bag now. Bravo to the homeowners. You know how to do it right! We sincerely appreciate how welcome you made us feel. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property. We hope all your guests treat your home with the respect it deserves. Oh yeah, we will be back!

This property is great. Right on the water. House is gorgeous with plenty of room. The owners are great. Answered any questions right away. There was a cute welcome gift in the kitchen for us. There are fishing poles and life vests for renters to use. We will definatly rent this property again.

We prefer being on a cove as opposed to the main lake, but we like to be close to the main lake and on a big enough cove to enjoy swimming and water activities. If that’s what you like, this house is absolutely perfect. A few highlights included:- Boat and jet ski rides to Washburn’s Marina for ice cream and fishing worms- Our kids caught tons of fish right off the boathouse dock using bobbers and worms. -Spent lots of time in the sunroom. Perfect for sunrises and sunsets, or anytime-Our kids loved the pool table and ping pong table and also the keyboard.- We enjoyed the fire pit one night- Our kids loved the spiral staircase in the master bedroom-Our kids loved the water slide off the dock- Very thoughtful hosts that really think about the little details like 1) providing “lake swimming towels” in the utility room in addition to normal towels and linens, 2) providing a gift bag with fire starter blocks for the fire pit, 3) allowing us to use fishing poles and life jackets, etc.I can’t say enough good things about this house, so i won’t try to cover it all.
