Our rather big, multigenerational family stayed here all together for a week and it was a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, comfortable, offering plenty of space, and the and location is great. Hilton Head is a family favorite place to visit. Only thing that could be better is more prompt responses from the property managers - a toilet stopped working and kitchen faucet handle fell off, and eventually those items were fixed, but it took a little while. Also the check-in code was wrong, but that was quickly corrected. Overall though, we enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub, and private driveway and gorgeous neighborhood. There was also easy access to bike paths and the beach. All in all, a really nice time! Thanks very much to the owners for sharing their house with our family. We hope to be back!

The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was adequate for our large wedding party. The kitchen space was and the extra dining space was nice. There is plenty of deck space. The backyard overlooking the water was a plus. With all of the space and beautiful scenery, we would have hoped our stay would have been relaxing and enjoyable . However, we had to call almost daily for things not working including the hot tub having cold water, the main refrigerator leaking water all over the floor, one of the doors to a guest bathroom broke off the tracks, the washing machine breaking down before finishing the cycle leaving unwashed clothes and a tub of water that wouldn’t drain, the internet stopped working after being there for about 3 hours, large roaches in bedrooms and crawling on the dining room ceiling, and mold in 2 rooms. The vacasa representatives were very friendly and apologetic with every phone call we made to them. The did send people out to fix the repairs, but the disruption to our vacation was very disappointing.

Deck in bad shape. Exposed electrical wires. Not enough utensils and serving dishes. Shower heads are bad, old. Bugs, cockroaches inside of the house.

Plenty of space for a group of 14 (from 3 years old to 80). Fun fishing in the lagoon for the kids and bike rentals helped get older kids around. Beautiful beach about 15 minute walk away (had a detour due to a bridge being out). Great place to visit in the fall- imagine it can get quite crowded in the summer.

We rented this home for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding party and they were all super pleased with the house and amenities.

The house was nice but in need of a lot of TLC, There were cockroaches in the house, there was a lot of dust in every room, the hot tub switch was very difficult to find, the kitchen faucet was missing the set screw so the handle kept falling off, also the blinds covering the patio door in the master suite were broken , also found a hole in the eve’s which is allowing critters to get into the attic which we heard a few times during our stay. I called local management and they said maintenance would show up to resolve the issues and they never called or showed up at the house which was very disappointing,The overall stay was nice but for the money we paid I would think the house would be in better condition.

Let me begin with the dead cockroach, the broken kitchen faucet, the dust on the vents, broken outdoor lights, stopped up sink, huge amount of mold on laundry room ceiling.

1) the delay getting access to the house - the management company is not adequately staffing cleaning crews to allow the house to be made available when promised. 2) the cleanliness of the house when they did provide access was less than ideal. The floors were cleaned; however there was dust/cobwebs throughout the house which indicated a thorough cleaning was not done. In addition there was trash left around the outside of the house and in the pool area. 3) the house itself has not been well maintained. The decking needs attention and there is black mold present in both the home and garage. 4) in bedroom #3 both beds are situated over the cooling vents;therefore it’s impossible to keep the bedroom at a comfortable temperature. 5) no info on the house-when to put garbage out and how, how to turn on hot tub, guidelines of the area 6)Vacasa was dismissive to problems when they were contacted during the stay. All in all, the pictures online did not accurately depict the current condition of the home.

The home was beautiful but it needed to be cleaned better. (I understand everyone is having staffing issues.) We didn’t have hot water in 1/2 the house for the first 2 days. Didn’t have any heat in the hot tub for 4 days. (We received a small credit back.) The house is obviously used as a rental and is getting lots of wear and tear but it needs some repairs especially around the pool. It is a beautiful home and our family had a wonderful time.

This is not our 1st stay in #9 and will not be our last, we love it. This year I had to use a Cain and found the home in need of better handicap options. I had to have assistance to get in and out of front entrance.

This house is definitely a 5 star residence. Very clean, new kitchen, good bedding, t v's in all rooms. Huge deck in rear of house with a great view of the lagoon and pool. Eight golfers were very comfortable. Will book again

We encountered quite a few dead roaches, a few spiders and some water bugs in the house (especially bathrooms, pantry and closets) and on the rear decks. The kitchen was not thoroughly clean,ed before our arrival and sticky counters and shelves had to be wiped down with Clorox wipes before we unpacked our groceries. Some of the pans, glasses had to be either hand washed or put in the dishwasher before they could be used. The lagoon views were wonderful and the pool fun and relaxing once it was properly cleaned (it was cleaned twice while we were there). The garage was not useable for any of our vehicles as there were old chairs, pinball machines and other debris laying around. The property needs a good thorough cleaning with a power washer as most every outside surfaces, stairs and walkways were dirty and grimy. There was debris (bottles and broken light fixtures) in several of the outside beds and many of the wood surfaces on the deck and the beams around the pool’s perimeter presented splinter and tripping hazards. There were lights out and/or inoperable throughout the interior and exterior of the house . The gas grill had to be scrubbed and baked on drippings removed before it could be used Even then a grease fire from baked on grime couldn’t be avoided during cooking. It was a shame to see what was once clearly a very beautiful property allowed to deteriorate in this way.

Awesome house, big pool , a lot of bedrooms and beds . Very comfortable for a big family!

Seven bedrooms, six full baths allowed for everyone to have some space. On the lagoon, so fishing and kayaking easy out the back yard.

Overall house is nice. Big and spread out. Could use a very good cleaning as it has some older grim build up in areas. Second dishwasher did not work, but was told it was fixed prior to arrival. Pool lights worked a few days, but went out again. Breaker tripped, so there must be an issue. Also reported. The web site is misstated related to type of beds. There are only full size beds in room number 2 not queen. so there is 4 full size in the house not 2. There is some raised wood trim around the pool that a Vacasa rep on arrival day said someone was going to take care of, but no one showed up. Could be a trip hazard, as we had several small children but no incidents with it. The house rep (Haley) was very good to work with prior to arrival with answering questions and following up.

Easy extended layout on one floor; Lots of bedrooms; Beautiful view, nice for kayaking and canoeing... but would benefit from a lower dock step. Great pool and jacuzzi! Fire-pit not working.

Thought hot tub was rather high priced

Due to the pandemic our initial property we were renting in Palmetto Dunes had to be moved and then the rental company was remiss in rescheduling so our children and grandchildren were very disappointed. We luckily found this property on VRBO and managed by Goode Vacations. Needless to say we were more than pleased. This property fit our total 16 family members so much better than the original property from a different group. The pool and the room layouts are well thought out and allow a large family to have more than enough room to have a great vacation. As with all large residences, some minor things needed to be taken care of during our 2 week stay. The people at Goode Vacations were so responsive and took care of everything. We will definitely come back to this residence. Thank you to the owner and the people at Good Vacations for saving our family vacation and providing an excellent property.

Excellent accommodations, sleeps 13 men comfortably, bathrooms nice....hot tub, pool, patio....just a great place for a large group.

I enjoyed this beautiful vacation home in Hilton Head. It is spacious, and well appointed. I did not like the option of paying extra to heat the pool and jacuzzi. An amenity like that should be included in the rental fee. I would enjoy vacationing in this home again.

This is our 14th year at 9 Highwater ( annual golf trip) 13 adult men all have a great bed and a shared washroom This place is a real hidden gem, you won’t find another like it!!

We had 3 families with 8 children and 6 adults for our April 2019 week at 9 Highwater. The size and layout of the house was wonderful and we could have easily fit another family. The location of the house was great and the backyard view was very relaxing. We loved the huge quantity of towels, the 2 laundry areas, fire pit and second fridge/ bar area. We did notice several things that we did not expect from an upper priced rental in a beautiful spot. The house has huge potential but maintenance was lacking in many areas. Hopefully attention can be brought to fixing the shower that didn't work in one of the bedrooms, the drains in 2 bathroom sinks, the electric cooktop that is on its way out, the broken bbq grill, the leaky spa and the porch fan. Attention could also be brought to routine things like window cleaning, yard clean up and cleaning behind the fridge. On our next visit we will definitely research the cost of pool and spa heat before booking. 1250 to heat the pool seems astronomical.

We have a family of 10 adults and 10 children aged 11-1. We fit at 9 Highwater perfectly. The location, the pool, the bedrooms & baths, the layout, the open kitchen (well equipped), the 2 laundries, 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges, 2 dining areas and large deck were spectacular! The only drawback was that we had trouble controlling the A/C in the house. 1/2 was freezing, 1/4 was too warm and 1/4 was just about right. We purchased 2 box fans to help move the colder air out to the warmer areas. It helped some, but was never totally comfortable everywhere. We recommend 9 Highwater to all big groups/families. We found a couple of things that needed immediate attention and the people at Goode Vacation Rentals responded quickly. The deck, while big enough and well equipped, needs some attention. Thank you.
