We had a group of 14 and it was the perfect, size, location!

This house was a great fit for our family retreat. We stayed with our children and grandchildren. Every room had its own bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The TV in the main room wasn’t working right but I think it was fixed after we left. I would definitely come back in warmer weather. The pool and beach were very close. It was just too cold for us to spend time in the pool.

Family down for sons wedding. Location was great. Close to beach. Amenities were great. Property was amazing with plenty of room and baths for everyone. 100% recommend and will look at this property again in the summer.

Nice house. Everything we needed except a gas grill! Plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. Great deck. Plenty of beds. Furniture, bedspreads, blinds and bathroom door locks needed fixed or replaced. Living room rug and furniture was quite dirty. Maybe a good cleaning more than once a year would be a good idea!

We had 8 adults and 2 two year olds. The home was laid out very well with adequate seating at dinning tables and the main living room. The main porch was a hangout place for us as well. The property is great with just steps to a kid friendly large pool and only a short walk to the beach. If you cook a lot, I would recommend bringing a large pot or two, some storage containers and you will need regular coffee filters or Kcups. Also, we could not find a broom but there was a vacuum.

Southern Splendor is a lovely beach house. The floor plan worked well for our 3 generations and the furnishings are comfortable. We’ve stayed in this development before, so we knew the pool is SO kid friendly and the beach is a short walk away. The owner was prompt in responding when we had an internet glitch; she sent her handyman out right away and he was very helpful. This was a great spot for a one week getaway with our children and grandchildren. Thanks Meagen!!

Outstanding in all ways

House very dirty. Furniture dirty. Kitchen not well stocked. Many outlets don’t work. Light bulbs burnt out. Ice maker sucks. Small TV. No ceiling fans on patio. For what we paid, everything should be clean and in working order and it wasn’t.

Close to shopping and everything. Great pool and short private walk to the beach. Best vacation yet. Would stay again for sure.

My first time renting through VRBO and it did not disappoint! The home was immaculate! The rooms were large and each had its own bathroom. The family room and kitchen was large and open. We loved sitting out on the balcony. Direct TV was a plus! Internet a little spotty but not a deal breaker. We definitely enjoyed our family Christmas vacation at the beach and will book again!

This house is incredible! We had 13 family members from age 14-83 in town for a wedding and it was just perfect! The bedding, furniture, decor, bathrooms, kitchen, decks, location … all top-notch. In addition, the owners were delightful to deal with. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

We enjoyed the weekend stay. Plenty of room for our group to relax watching football after fishing all day. Will definitely try to stay here on next trip.

My family and I enjoyed staying in this precious cottage. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. We loved the pool and the short walk to the beach. We had the perfect week in paradise!!

My husband and I booked this property for a Covid-safe Christmas and the property is just as bright and clean as described. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and you are steps away from the ocean. The only issues we had were sleeping arrangements. All of the mattresses were far too soft for our preference. We both sank deeply into the bed and didn’t get much rest. Also it’s tough to regulate the temperature on both floors during the winter. All of the heat seems to rise to the top floor making for hot nights upstairs. Although I’m sure this isn’t an issue during summer months. All in all this was a beautiful home that we would love to stay in again, we will just have to pack a board to put under the mattress next time.

We dodged hurricanes, and were so glad to finallly arrive! Would not hesitate to stay here again. The cottage was immaculate, and close to everything thing we needed. Cottage was very comfortable and close to beautiful beach and pool. Less than 2 minute walk to both. Owners were very open and informative to any questions we had. 5 star, hoping we can stay here again.

We had a great time!! It was so warm for November that my Granddaughter even got in the pool. We had family of all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely recommend

This is our second year staying at this house. We love it! It’s so cute and always clean! Meagen is always very helpful with anything you need! We love that this is a gated community and right next to the beach. Our favorite thing about this area is the pool. It’s great for little kids bc is the zero entry. We will definitely come back again!

My family of 5 (3 teens) loved this vacation. The house was 5 star clean and served all our needs well. Amazing location for both beach and other activities in the area. The private property this home is located on is well thought out, safe and helped us relax. Our only wish would be that the pool was a bit “cooler” but we know that beach pools get pretty warm on hot summer afternoons. Great place and I HIGHLY recommend it.

This property and it’s owners are just outstanding! The house is absolutely beautiful. The beds were all very comfortable. Everything was very clean. It had everything we needed for cooking and just enjoying each other’s company. The beach and the pool were both a very short walk. Beautiful gated community. It is very close to all the great restaurants and shopping! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back again!

The house was very nice, a very short walk to pool and beach. Private beach was not crowded. The pool was perfect for our 18 month old granddaughter. I would recommend this house.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cottage at Romar. A couple of details from our stay to help others plan for their vacation: Cons: -We had a small problem with the refrigerator when we first arrived, however Meagan handled it promptly. -The dryer didn't work but I assume it was because the vent was full of lint (toward the end of our stay, we noticed a bunch of lint on the ground of the exterior where the dryer vent was located. After that the dryer worked fine) -The blinds in the bedrooms are pretty sheer so be prepared to wake up with the sun! -The supply starter kit is minimal so be prepared to bring your own items (it included two dish detergents, small packet of dish soap, ONE toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, NO washcloth or cleaning supplies for the kitchen, two laundry detergents, small shampoo, conditioner and soap) Pros: -Excellent location near the end of Orange Beach which is not as crowded -Beautifully decorated -Nice and comfortable mattresses -Quick walk to the beach with a beautiful pool We will definitely be coming back!

Great cottage! There was construction next door so we did not stay out on the balcony much. Pool was fantastic!!
