Incredibly kind and communicative company to rent from. The house is gorgeous and the view great.

The house was the perfect set-up for our stay with friends. The boat dock accommodated two boats with deep water as well. The pool and hot tub only had propane for heating purposes, so we were unable to use either one in the event of draining all the propane.

Our group of 3 families had an awesome time on our long weekend. Most of us never even left the house- we had everything we needed between the house, pool, and lake. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their space. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone with multiple families.

The house and property are beautiful. The area is great, with grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants nearby. We had a few hiccups along the way. The house is located on a quiet little cove just off the main channel. The family had a wonderful time and we will definitely return. A few of the negatives we encountered, on the 1st day we went to fire up the stove and were unable to get the gas burner to light. The property manager responded quickly to our issue and the propane company was quickly dispatched to the house. Turns out the propane tank was empty. Minor inconvenience to get the trip started. Encountered 1 other issue on the 2nd to last night, the upstairs AC unit went out, again the property manger dispatched their AC guy and he came out and fixed the issue within a few hours. The response time on the property management company was very good. Sh*t does happen as any home owner would know. The AC filters in the house had not been changed in over a year as we found while trying to remedy the HVAC issue. All in all it was a great stay with a few bumps along the way.

We rented the home for just our family and everything was as described. The property managers were always very communicative with any questions we may have had. There was a problem with the washer that predated our visit but the manager took care of it without us having to be involved. It was a great vacation for my family and my kids loved the lake!

We rented this property for our family Thanksgiving reunion. We live in Miami, 2 kids with baby in NY and 4 kids in Charlotte. This home was the perfect meeting spot right on the middle. And what an amazing week we had. The house was perfect to accommodate all of us, even though the Charlotte gang only stayed one night. The house itself is beautiful but it could use some upgrades… some furniture is falling apart, the kitchen could be better equipped, some of the appliances were not working properly, etc. We notified the management company so hopefully they will take care of it for future rentals. They were very accommodating, bringing us a baby security gate for our one-year old very curious grandson so we could block the stairs. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend this property.

Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Firefly Cove. Location is superb and the views do not disappoint. Pool area was great to hang out while kids were in the house. Only disappointment was the fact that cleanliness and basic maintenance seem to get overlooked with this rental property. All issues reported to management company were addressed somewhat quickly; however, most should not have had to be reported if the home was actively upkept vs. treated as a pure-play rental.

Overall a good property.
Few issues with appliances and air conditioning. Interestingly the master has a fireplace that it shares with the living room and it’s literally an open space and not very quiet when others are in the kitchen or living room. The lake is beautiful as usual but it should be a little clearer how steep the walk is from the lake to the home. Loved having the pool and hot tub. Overall a good experience.

Perfectly laid out
My husband and I have 3 adult children and their significant others plus kids. The lay out of this home was perfect. Two family’s upstairs, my husband and I on main floor and our youngest and his gf on lower level. We brought our boat and the fishing was good. Catfish, bass, sunfish for the kids off the dock. Afternoons spent in the pool. Evening boat rides. Gorgeous lake….

This house was beautiful and was right next to the lake with a dock that was wonderful to hang out on. It also has a pool and hot tub. Nice spacious rooms and what I also liked was how the owner left some toiletry items.

Property was great and fit our needs perfectly with pool, hot tub, and lake activities. Bedroom situation was great with spread out design.

Perfect Getaway!
We just spent a long weekend at this property and it was the perfect spot for our group. We had 8 adults and 2 infants and had more than enough room. The outdoor area with the pool/spa is where we spent most of our time and it was perfect. Rhonda was super helpful in answering all my questions before our arrival and she even helped us secure a boat for the weekend. I just wish we would have stayed longer!

July 4th vacation week
Jim & Rhonda have a spectacular lake front home with everything you need to enjoy lake life. We had an amazing week out on the lake everyday and pool side every afternoon, their home is in a perfect location and the views are beautiful. We hope to come back soon. Amazing week!
We had the most amazing week at Lake Norman. In fact, it truly could not have been any better. The house is gorgeous, very clean and has everything you need and more. We spent our days lounging by the pool, hot tub and swimming around the dock. Rhonda and Jim were extremely easy to work with and very responsive. To sum it up...we will definitely be back!

Family Vacation June 2020
We planned our family vacation for early June 2020 long before anyone had heard about COVID-19. As the date drew near there were still many unanswered questions. Rhonda and Jim were fantastic to work with keeping us up to date as things changed in NC and providing all of our options. We determined it was safe to go as planned and we're so glad we did. Their house is beautiful and has everything you'll need for a family vacation. In addition to the house, the pool, hot tub, fire pit and boat dock were awesome. It's located in a quiet cove but has a big water view across the main lake and up another finger of the lake.
We've rented vacation homes on VRBO for many many years but we've never had owners that were as accommodating and concerned about our happiness as Rhonda and Jim. With all of the unknowns in 2020 they helped provide the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful time at Lake Norman. The house surpassed our expectations. You can’t beat the lake view and the convenience of the pool was great. And Rhonda/Jim were very helpful and responsive.

Our Family had an amazing time in Lake Norman! The home was equipped with anything you could need or want and the beds were very comfortable. The house itself is lovely but the outdoor space is the real show stopper. The pool/hot tub/fireplace and view of the Lake brought a smile to our faces every morning. Rhonda was very helpful and accessible if need be. We spoke on the phone prior to arrival and she gave great pointers on where to rent a boat and which grocery store she liked best. She also had bought some brand new pool toys waiting for my kids, which they loved. We would definitely come back!

Spring Get Away
First time at Lake Norman. Great house and great location on Lake Norman not to mention the pool and hot tub. Property owners were very responsive and easy to work with. They even checked in on us mid week to make sure we had everything we needed. All around great experience. Will definitely be back again.

Great house for a family celebration!!
We rented this property to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday and were able to have all of her children and grandchildren under one roof. Everyone had a great time! The house was very clean and had everything that we could possible need. The pool was the centerpoint of the week for all of us. The views from all of the bedrooms and back porch were spectacular. The younger crowd was able to spread out on the lower level/pool level and had their own separate living area.
Jim and Rhonda were very helpful and answered any of questions that came up. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely consider visiting again.
