Cabin was exactly as described. Very clean and well setup. Views are excellent from the back decks, especially in the Fall. Close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg but not so close that you get caught up in traffic. 10/10 would stay again

I honestly can not think of a bad thing to say! Everything was perfect. Owner was awesome to deal with when I had questions on things before even arriving there. We traveled from Wisconsin and it was unsure if we would get to cabin earlier then check in time and they worked with us 100%. Definitely recommend this cabin. And the views were out of this world. Only saw 1 bear as we leaving this morning :(

Gone Fishing was a great vacation house for our family. With three floors and two porches, we had plenty of space to spread out. We all enjoyed watching a mother bear and three cubs playing in the back yard.

The cabin was so clean, had lots of room for our family, and had a wonderful view for our vacation. I would recommend for people to stay here if want great views! My family enjoyed the game room, hot tub, and that the cabin was fully furnished. My only wish is that the pool would have been a bit closer for our family to enjoy. We even got to see a mama bear with her three cubs mutiple times during our week's stay.

Beautiful property, very clean and plenty of room for 8 guests (4 adults, 4 teens). The outdoor spaces were comfy and the view was unbeatable. Really appreciated the pool table and hot tub. Also, the checkout process was super easy (a short list of "to-dos" before leaving). Kitchen was fully equipped, beds and sofas were very comfortable . We loved it and would love to stay again. *HOLY MOLEY there were bears every day we were there. In the yard, on the front porch, walking up the driveway. If you are nervous at all about wildlife, keep this in mind (our group loved it, btw. 😊).*

Our stay was very enjoyable. The cabin was inviting and well equipped. Maybe mention in the description that although it sleeps 8 there are only 4 beds so they have to be couples. Thank you again for sharing your home with as us we made wonderful memories!

Great house!! Truly up in the mountains! There is a golf course at the bottom of the hill, which we did not know about. The layout is perfect if your staying with family and friends. The kitchen is a little tight to have more than two people cooking. Gatlinburg is about a half hour drive, and Pigeon Forge is about 45-50 minute drive. WE CAME FOR THE BEARS, AND WE SAW THEM!!!! In all great house and great trip, full of memories!!!

The property was well maintained and clean. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind with a great hot tub and game area! Plenty of space for family game playing and a wonderful view!

Family friendly getaway outside the crowds of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, yet plenty of conveniences nearby. Fantastic sunset views and privacy, in spite of the proximity of other homes. Very well appointed and you WILL see bears!

This is a great property if you’re going to unwind and relax, but if you’re going to pigeon forge a lot and downtown gatlingburg it’s a little bit of a drive. This is a great property too kick back play games and sit back and getaway at though.

We loved our stay at Gone Fishin. It was close enough to Gatlinburg activities but far enough from the crowds. Kitchen is well stocked. Cabin is very clean and cozy. The back porch view is breathtaking. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family really enjoyed rest here with a beautiful view, a friendly bear, large hot tub, huge TV, lots of space to spread out, all within 30 minutes of the Smokies and shopping areas.

We had a wonderful experience staying in this cabin. It was clean and well stocked. The view was amazing!! Thank you for the perfect spot for our reunion of senior siblings. The steps were a bit of a challenge but we made it. And to top it all off we got to see a bear walking through the back yard!

Great location and accommodations.

We booked this cabin for a family vacation from Florida. It was perfect for everyone. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the bedrooms were cozy, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, and the downstairs game room area was a fun spot to retreat to., although we spent most of our time on the 2nd floor deck. The guys mainly liked the huge television in the living room haha. There was a view of the Smokey’s from almost every part of the house which is exactly what this family from Florida wanted to see. We live in one of the most touristy parts of Florida, aside from Orlando, so being able to get above sea level was a thrill for all of us. I would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends and to anyone who is reading this review now. Thank you so much for letting my family and I stay in your beautiful cabin!

We didn't make it to the home until 9:30pm but as soon as we pulled in the home was well lit. We made our way inside and the home is absolutely beautiful. Everything you may need to cook can be found in the kitchen. The beds are very comfy. My kids had an amazing time in the game room. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed in the area at least half dozen times in last 10 years.....Very beautiful cabin with an amazing view and lots of bear sightings off the deck everyday. We love this area as it is a short distance away from most activities!! Highly recommended

The cabin and entire experience was perfect.

Gone fishing is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. Our family really enjoyed it. We had a bear walk through the back yard the first evening we were there after only a couple of hours. Actually, we had a bear in the backyard 4 of the 5 days we were there. We would definitely stay there again.

There was four generations of us staying at this property and we all loved it. The quality of the living room furniture and very large tv screen was outstanding. We go to that area every year for a family reunion, we would definitely stay here again

This place is really a great get away. We had a wonderful time. Beautiful view from all of the decks, the curb appeal is great, and the interior is very tastefully decorated, in rustic. Nice furnishings and decent beds.. We had seven women. Like the brochure said, it's in the mountains, the road is curvy, and there are inclines, so you should realize that ahead of time. Only thing we would say is if you can't climb stairs, you may have a bit of a problem. We made it work for us because it was such a great spot and a nice place, we loved it. The cabin was equipped with just about anything you could need. It will be one of our fondest trips to remember. (five of us were celebrating our 80th birthday's)
