The property was superb

We were warned about parking and steps so neither was a surprise but others might be put off by these which we didn't feel was an issue for us even with our bikes.

Views amazing

The property has a large open plan lounge kitchen with a lovely view looking down to the river. It is located in Bishop Tawton village that has a great traditional pub Chichester Arms which has offers great food and real ales.

The property is very tired with strange layout where you access through the front door into a bedrooms. Advertising is misleading as it only shows the rear of property where the front was over grown, accessed through a small gate with no off-street parking down a narrow pathway to a very shabby side door The property, though clean, did smell of damp, had a noisy boiler and overall was very expensive for what is a small 2 bedroom, tired semi detached single story house. Cottages.com did not communicate with me before my stay and it took me to call them on the day being on hold for over 30mins to speak to someone who finally gave me property access details.

The house and garden were fantastic, with lots of interesting wildlife, especially loved the cheeky fox, who came to say hello to our dog

Parking was a real issue, which would unfortunately put us off booking again. Perhaps the front garden could be re-designed to accommodate a car.

Excellent location for exploring North Devon. Property is tasteful, modern and extremely clean. The garden is huge and stunning, with beautiful views and wildlife and apple trees. Loved it.

No off street parking. Bedrooms at back get little sun so could be a bit cold at night and largest bedroom radiator not working. There was a slight musty smell in smallest bedroom without the heating on the first night, which most people probably wouldn't notice but I’m asthmatic.
