Excellent location and lovely room.
We paid £157 per night but there was no housekeeping for second night so the room was not made up and the toilet paper etc was not resupplied. Only got the instructions on how to get in at 11pm on the evening we were due to check in as the staff were very busy and hadn’t had time to reply to my query. Avoid the breakfast they recommend at the local cafe unless you have plenty of time. We waited an hour after placing our order and had to leave without having received any food as due at a wedding.

The view is amazing, the location could not be better. We couldn't get over it. The rooms are on the small side, but well furnished. Particularly want to call out the comfy bed with lovely sheets. It was very hot when we were there so it was great that every room had a fan. There was a little confusion with the rooms and the staff were nice enough to switch one of the chairs for a comfy chair, no fuss, which was massively appreciated.
We were there for three nights, it might have been nice for someone to come in and change the bins/freshen up the room at some point. But that is not a big issue, they were very busy.

Large shower in spacious bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We had dinner as well and a beautiful view over the valley complemented a lovely meal all topped off with great service.

A lovely hotel - the room was very sweet and the restaurant is warm and welcoming. We had a very nice dinner there.

A fabulous find. We stayed there the night before our daughter's wedding with her and the grandparents. It was a lovely evening, great accommodation and the food in the restaurant was lovely.

Excellent food and drink (including cocktails which were freshly made and no sight of a pre-mix syrup).
Interior of the pub was in good order with a very cosy vibe. fantastic patio area at the rear of the pub that overlooks the Downs.
The rooms exceeded my expectations… very clean and modern.
The staff make this place even better. Very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about their offering.

We booked room with sea views - the view is fantastic across fifteen miles of countryside to the sea. The staff are so welcoming and informative. The room was beautiful with a fabulous bathroom/power shower and the most comfortable bed. Plenty of tea/coffee/milk and lovely biscuits.

Well located, with views over the South Downs. Comfortable room, attentive staff. Attached restaurant offered very good food and wine.
There was nothing that I disliked. The provision of breakfast would have been an improvement, but the rooms, restaurant, bar and general ambience were really good.

We had a really nice room above a smart, lively pub. Room was well furnished and spacious and fans were kindly provided. Views from our room were fantastic. Bathroom was clean and modern with nice toiletries. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food. We would return.
Access to the rooms was around/behind a BBQ grill area which in itself wasn't much of an issue but the volume of smoke wasn't ideal with open windows. They were clear they didn't provide breakfast (which was a shame) - just beware there is only one local alternative in the village.

Not the hotels fault but its very difficult to get any taxis in the ares.

Found the loud noise from the generator just outside the bathroom window going on throughout the night disturbed my sleep.
