Nice, secluded location, surrounded by wetlands with lots of wild nature. In many places around the resort you can find plates with the pictures and names of animals you may come across. On the opposite side of the road are the older hotels belonging to the Ventus resort, what includes number of restaurants, bars, swimming pools and the beach. Very nice little town - Puerto Morelos along with a nice public beach is located a few minutes of drive from the resort (the beach of the nearby Ventus resorts has been affected by some storms and lacks a bit of charm... and sand).

Apartments in the basement have very little access to daylight, due to upper floor balconies along with very lush vegetation that shades the terrace & windows. Definitely higher floors should be more convenient in that matter.

The property is a tropical rainforest with a Mayan Ruin feel and I call it my new Zen Jungle property for its incredible exotic spa smells throughout the waterfall garden and every room has a hamack to swing and take in the beauty of the relaxed atmosphere and tropics that surround you. The sunset on the 6th floor rooftop is breathtaking as you look at the stars and wade in the rooftop infinity pools while relaxing with a cool cocktail from the RUFF mixology bar. You can also gaze at the stars and moon through the telescopes that are perched on the rooftop as well. They also have private cabanas or group coach seating to enjoy conversations with friends. This is the new sister property to the El Cid Ventus and El Cid Marina so you will be enjoying ALL 3 properties and each property is in walking distance from each other. El Cid Properties in Riviera Maya Quintaroo are the very best and an mandatory must stay every year for us!! We were there Xmas Day and also celebrated New Year's Eve and was supposed to return New Year's Day but as fate would have it our Delta flight was canceled for 2 days and luckily Booking.com had an online only booking deal at the Ventus Ha with only 2 rooms left we were able to nab on of them and enjoyed another 2 days with great couples we met while there. Despite the travel delays and going from a non-stop flight to a connecting flight to ATL with a 3 hour layover and then home to DTW. I would not have changed anything at all. The entertainment each night and themed parties were phenomenal!! Michael Jackson impersonator, Elvis Presely, Mayan Show, and please don't miss the Fire Show!! I can write a book on how much I just love El Cid Riviera Maya!! Just Go!! You will not regret it😍🤩🤩🥰😍🤩🏖🏝🌞🌞⛱️🍹🍸🍾🍷🥂
