location was fantastic.

whilst a roll top bath is nice, for an 8 bed property a 2nd shower would be ideal as it takes an age to get everyone through the bathroom in the morning

Great location in the Peak District, remote but close enough to necessary facilities and places to visit. Large property with all the mod cons for a comfortable stay and some lovely personal touches. The owner was on hand for any issues or questions without being intrusive.

Obviously cannot move the road but it did tend to be fairly busy and noisy at times.

We loved the farmhouse. Plenty of room for 6 adults and the kitchen was very well equipped. Very dog friendly - it was a bonus to find dog towels, a water bowl and poo bags at the property although we had brought our own. The cotton sheets were gorgeous and the towel soft and fresh. We didn’t get to use the aga or the log burner but they are lovely additions. We had a small problem which the owners fixed very quickly. It was also great to have so much sofa space to spread out and relax. Really appreciated the wine and biscuits as well as the vase of fresh flowers. Well stocked with cleaning stuff, tea towels and tea and coffee.

I think the cleaner could have been a bit more thorough and bath sheets would have been preferable to bath towels … we have sons of 7’ and 6’8”!

The cottage had everything we needed. Beautiful white towels & bedding

The weather which obviously no one can change. Matlock bath was flooded but we were very cosy at the cottage with the open fire
