Clean, central, all basics like kettle, hairdryer, iron, toiletries in place. Great view from 10th floor

Room was much too hot, 23.5 degrees on arrival. Unable to reduce temperature in room to less than 19 degrees. Contacted reception and was advised that was the lowest temperature possible. Sealed windows so unable to open. Had to remove duvet from cover and take off mattress topper in attempt to be cooler but had an uncomfortable night because of the heat. This was felt by both me and my young son who shared a twin room

Little confusion during check in when booking could not be found, but dealt with efficiently. Design of shower means bathroom floor can get soaked.

The reception desk could be a little more inviting, rather than solely functional.

Really comfortable bed and room was a good size. Had a good size TV and desk. The Bathroom was modern, clean and the towels were really good quality.

It was a good hotel offering comfortable accommodation for the one night I needed. The breakfast was good.

Having to buy 2 nights when I only needed one. It was difficult to get through to Reception on Friday evening from outside the hotel in order to register - I tried 7 times!

Not being able to park nearby but it is in the centre of town and is converted from civil service offices (passport office)

Very conveniently located to train station and bus terminus. Staff was very welcoming and helpful in requests. Rooms were clean and tidy far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in the Newport area. I will stay here again if I get another opportunity to visit Newport.

I can honestly say that I can not think of anything that would be an improvement as I really enjoyed my stay.

Almost nothing - poor quality toilet paper, lack of teaspoons in the room!

Excellent breakfast with great staff

there was no "stewed fruit" on the buffet......seeds, sultanas, dates - all OK but some prunes or similar would have completed the presentation nicely. Hot food was good and some pastries to finish.

We liked where it was situated. The staff were well mannered and it was easy to know your way around

The room we were in was boiling all the time. We turned the temperature down and at one point we turned it off and it was still really warm. I found when we tried to put the fan on we felt nothing.
