Everything about The Overlook was perfect! We were in town for our oldest grandson’s high school graduation and a mini-family reunion. The house was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed. The kitchen was open with a large table for meals and family card games, there was plenty of seating in the upstairs living room and basement family room. All televisions had remotes that worked for our NBA playoff basketball fans. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The instructions for access, wifi, and check out were easy to find, and cleaning requests were very reasonable. The location was ideal, close to restaurants and our son’s house. Definitely a 5-star home and experience!

Our stay was great, we toured Crazy Horse Monument, Mt Rushmore and Rapid City as well as the new homes being built by my son up in the Powder House addition, Lead, SD Wonderful Time!

The house and host were awesome. This worked out perfectly for our family. Nice fenced in yard with a view of the city! Grandkids loved it!

My family loved this property! Was very clean (I own a commercial cleaning biz so I'm somewhat of a tough critic). Has a great view, very spacious and comfortable. Cody was very responsive and great with communication. We will be back again!

We were very pleased with our first VRBO experience. Host communications before, during and after our stay were very informative and timely. Host was also very responsive to any questions we had. The unit was as advertised - very clean, spacious and only minutes from restaurants, groceries, etc. There were 5 adults and a 3 year old in our party. Everyone enjoyed the experience!

We were three generations, total of ten people aged 2-70. The bedroom configurations worked perfectly for us. The house was exactly as shown, very new, well appointed and spotless. All communication was very prompt and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone and would stay here again. Thanks so much!

Wow, from the moment we walked in, we felt like we had come home! Everything was sparkling clean, so welcoming, well appointed, modern yet cozy, fully stocked and well situated in town! We lacked for nothing! Little things like toilet paper and towels were of high quality and we had PLENTY! There were delightful surprises like children's toys, which my 5 year old daughter LOVED, and plenty of room to spread out as well as commune together as a group. We all enjoyed playing ping pong and eating around the table, as well as outside on the deck. There were plenty of dishwashing pods, a great laundry room (though we didn't do laundry this trip), a TV in the master bathroom (which was totally fun for our kids) and all the plates/silverware/bowls/cups that we needed! Communication was SO CLEAR and Cody even notified us that the cleaners were finished early so we could have had an early check in! I cannot say enough about this wonderful stay and we will definitely be back when in the area! We were all sad to leave! Thank you!

The Overlook was a great home base as we explored the Black Hills over several days! The house was very nice, with a wonderful play room downstairs our kids LOVED! The view of Rapid City is great and the hosts were easy to communicate with. We’ll be back!

We were pleasantly surprised how well the home was set up for toddlers. The high chair, baby gate, and pak N Play were great! Comfortable beds and linens were a plus. We enjoyed the city views and running up Skyline Drive!

My family came from several states to spend time with our mother who is turning 80. This was the perfect location and we had absolutely the best weekend! The house is perfect for kids and adults- ping pong table was used a great deal by the kids and adults alike!! Cody was responsive and professional! Highly recommend!!

With elderly parents living in Rapid City, we needed a place for our three sons and their two spouses to stay with us during my wife's parents' 65th wedding anniversary weekend. Having stayed downtown at a hotel previously, we were looking for something different and wanted a comfortable place to relax and spend time with each other, and we booked this home back in November 2021. Cody was flexible a few months ago when we asked to change from Friday-Monday to Thursday-Sunday. Check-in went very smoothly, and Cody provided access codes for both the front door and the garage door so we could park two cars inside. Check-in was easy, and communication with Cody was friendly and timely. The A/C worked great, which was much appreciated since the days we spent in Rapid were hitting 101 degrees each day. Mornings and evenings were pleasant, sitting outside on the back deck. The views to the east of Rapid City were beautiful. We grilled chicken one evening, and the grill was clean and easy to use. The house was well-located near downtown in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood, and grocery stores were not far away. The house and amenities were clean, comfortable and very pleasant for our stay. We really enjoyed our stay, and this home is beautiful. This home includes everything you need when staying away from home. Along with the beauty of the home, the yard and outdoor seating is amazing as well. Owner always provided quick communication and feedback, and we definitely recommend this vrbo to others. We traveled to Rapid City for a baseball tournament. Cody was a wonderful host. He answered questions promptly, left detailed instructions for the house and checked in, offering his assistance if needed. The house was extremely clean, and large enough for our group of 12. They even provided baby items (pack and play and high chair). Beautiful scenery from the deck and close to many attractions. Thank you Cody for your hospitality. We hope to return in future years when traveling to the tournament.
