We loved the house. It was very clean, well appointed, and close to everything. The beds were super comfortable. The only issue we had is that we are not familiar with the front door locking system and had trouble figuring out how to lock the door when we left. Perhaps an explanation in the check in/check out instructions could be included to help your technologically stunted guests.

Great location. We enjoyed having a front porch with a neighborhood vibe while still able to walk to downtown. The house is very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean.

We loved this place. I stayed here for two nights with my two kids (ages 13 and 17). My son slept on the couch and my daughter and I each had comfortable rooms. The decor is lovely and the layout is really practical and charming. I could live happily in a little house like this. Lots of attention to detail was shown and since my environment really matters to me I really appreciated the thoughtful and classy boho vibe decor. Great screened in porch and sunlit breakfast table at which my daughter worked. Kitchen was stocked and super cute. Kids liked the “shelf” in the shower/tub combo for all their stuff. Generous dining table we did not use but would be great if you hosted a friend or two for dinner when in town. The location is good as it is near the downtown mall (walking distance for most). Anyhow, we thoroughly enjoyed it and I would come back.

A wonderful little house well located in the city. The home is well appointed and comfortable and the location is walkable to so many tasty restaurants. We stated with our 9 year old and the backyard was so much fun for him to play in.

A wonderful home for relaxing and enjoying the charming Belmont neighborhood! Loved the vast collection of books, comfy beds and light and bright cottage. Would definitely book again.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding weekend. It was a beautiful home. Loved all the artsy details (record player, book collection). The neighborhood was great - just a few blocks away from Belle for some delicious coffee and breakfast, along with a few other restaurants. Thank you for a great stay!

We spent two days at the Yellow House while touring colleges for our daughter. It was perfect space for our family of 4. My son especially loved the book nook in the living room! Thank you for being such gracious hosts and sharing your home with us!

We enjoyed our stay, and had a lovely evening around the fire pit in the back, enjoying burgers grilled on the spot. Very convenient to Monticello as well as downtown. There is actually a powder room in addition to the full bathroom.

This house was perfect for a short trip to Charlottesville with our kids. It’s in a great location and has all the amenities plus it’s beautifully decorated. Our kids loved the little loft nook and the porch swing. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here during our son’s 3 day camp at UVA. It worked out great and we will definitely look to stay here again when we come back. The house is so charming and well appointed.

We arrived on a Sunday and stayed through at Tuesday for a short getaway with our infant son and had a great time. The house is very well maintained with a very nice living area, dining room, and kitchen as well as very comfortable bedrooms. The property also a very nice backyard with a playset and ample porch and deck space to enjoy. Downtown Charlottesville along with many restaurants and breweries are well within walking distance. 5/5 -- thank you!

My husband and I loved our stay. The skylight brightened up the whole house. They provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The blackout curtains in the bedroom were perfect for keeping out light and we were so impressed they had a coffee grinder and chemex (my husband loves his coffee). Super easy walk to downtown, which was nice. Highly recommend!!

Tidy and well appointed cottage. We were in and out a lot over graduation weekend and it was easily accessible to all areas of Charlottesville.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yellow House. It was a perfect place to stay with our small kids. Very walkable to nearby parks and restaurants. Three Notched is an easy walk for a fun activity. The house was well equipped and very comfortable to stay in. Would highly recommend!

Daughter and myself for her bday get away. Yearly tradition. First time in Cville. Great almost everything! Weather was kind of dreary for early May but that was ok. Beds comfy ... everything you need. Wish we could have used the deck and screened in porch but weather did not cooperate. Only down side was no comfy furniture to just chill and read. Lighting was also not conducive to reading. If you are planning to be outside and the weather cooperates ... you will get the 100%. Felt safe and area is uber friendly. You are close to everything.

The yellow cottage is charming, comfortable, and immaculate! The owners are incredibly kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They made sure we had everything we needed and even set up the fire pit for us and put out a bottle of wine and extra chairs! We highly recommend staying at the yellow cottage.

Spent Spring break in Cville with my 2 teens. We all loved the yellow cottage. This property was thoughtfully appointed, comfortable and clean. We loved the books, records, and games. Nice outdoor spaces, beautiful landscaping.
